Rams Injury Update: Steve Avila’s Status Uncertain for Thursday vs 49ers
Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay provided an update on offensive lineman Steve Avila’s status for the upcoming Thursday night game against the San Francisco 49ers, scheduled for 5:15 p.m. PT on Amazon Prime Video. Speaking on Monday, McVay expressed uncertainty about Avila’s availability, stating, “We’ll see. Not sure about that yet, but he’s doing a great job. He’s doing everything that we’ve asked.”

Lol
Avila unlike Noteboom plays well when he plays, but his injuries the last two years have sucked. Like they say, the best ability is availability.
I really hope the rams dont overpay him on a new deal

I was half joking. Cannot compare the talents, Avila is levels above in talent. But, it's the injury issues I was speaking of.
I think you know by now, the Rams will indeed overpay this man. They have done it so many times before, why stop now. They love Avila, as we all do, but I hope when they pay the man... they keep his injury issues/history in mind.
As to your other comment of best ability is availability.... there is nothing more true in football. I dont care how good of a team you are, but if you have injuries all over, your team does not win deep in the playoffs. Honestly, I rather take the healthiest team OVER a team w more talent but has injuries.

We agree. Injuries are bad enough, the only thing that is worse is the injury coming after giving them the big $$.
Avila plays OL too, ol is one of the most important units in football. The OL improves as OL play together, responsible for protecting Rams franchise qb and is responsible for making lanes for the running game.
Im still upset that the rams didnt do an better job at finding a starting center. There were better options then Shelton.

Imo, OL is the MOST important unit . Bad OL = bad offense . And yes , 100 % agree , they should have found a better option than shelton. He has been below average so far .Cornell29 wrote: ↑September 30th, 2025, 1:12 pmThats why I put the LOL, I got the joke.DelMar wrote: ↑September 30th, 2025, 12:08 pm
