Re: REALLY dumb question
The only dumb question is one that isn’t asked
I don’t know about anybody else but a niners loss is almost as good as a Rams win, for me
So yea,we want the niners to lose tonight and then beat Seattle in a couple weeks, after they lose again next week to Da Bears

Re: REALLY dumb question
Basically if an NFC team is ever playing an AFC team, we want the AFC team to win. In addition, we need the teams in the NFC with the same records or better records than us to lose. If in doubt, always pull agains the 49ers. :-)

Re: REALLY dumb question
I figured as much but I thought I heard the commentator say something different but I didn't have the time or patience to re-listen to it so I figured the right answer would be here

Re: REALLY dumb question
In the long-shot scenarios which would involve our team somehow regaining the NFC's' #1 overall playoff seed, the 49ers could need to be eliminated from the NFC West race themselves, yet might still be motivated to go all-out to upset the Seahawks in the regular-season finale.
I'm not certain if that would ever happen, however I certainly wouldn't expect 44-year-old Philip Rivers to lead the Colts to an upset victory tonight...

Short answer, we ALWAYS want the 49ers to lose even if they are ever 0-16

Isn't there a scenario this season where we want the 49ers to beat Seattle?GlendoraRam wrote: ↑Today, 6:53 pm Short answer, we ALWAYS want the 49ers to lose even if they are ever 0-16

My hatred for the 49ers runs so deep that I can lose my perspective at times.

Re: REALLY dumb question
Yes, should they lose to the Bears while the Rams win (at Falcons) and the Seahawks defeat the Panthers next weekend.
The problem is that the 49ers would then have nothing meaningful to play for in that season finale, thus they would likely make it a 'rest day' for their key starters...
