Dodgers are best run org in sports. 12 straight postseasons. 11 division titles. 4 pennants. 2 chips. Big spenders and efficient and work the edges. Just the beginning too.
PS- for those trying to diminish 2020. Pound sand. Team won 13 playoff games and had no home field advantage despite finishing with best record in baseball. Get a clue.
The 1 year they didn't win the division out of those 12, 2021, they were 50 games over .500 and still had the 2nd best record in baseball winning 106 games, finishing 2nd to SF by 1 game, in both regards .
Pretty impressive regular seasons but to grant them the best pro sports team when they don't win Championships or Trophies like the KC Chiefs, GS Warriors or a Man City currently do.... is being a bit bias.. wouldn't you say? They won that division by default some of those years while other divisions were competitive. Might explain only 2 WS from that regular season success run, with HF in the playoffs most years too. Greatest franchises don't choke regularly in the post season. See the Bill Russell Celtics, the Bradshaw Steelers, the Montana 9ers, The Brady Pats, the Messier Oilers and Man United under Ferguson. They all got it done most of the time.

I think I was the only poster that mentioned the 2020 chip... and I didn't mean it to sound diminishing '78. Sorry if I sounded that way. I meant it sort of like the Lakers when they won it during Covid. No crowds, shortened season and all that crap to me just made it like it almost wasnt a real season... which it wasnt a real regular season. But in no way was I cutting our Dodgers season and chip down.
They won that thing outright, but I have no problem pounding sand... ;)

I said currently. GS isn’t a legit contender anymore. Like mentioning patriots. Yesteryear. KC def the other franchise in mix. More rings but haven’t been doing it as long. Also they mostly maybe a transcendent QB. Dodgers have done it with different iterations. I was comparing to 4 major US sports. Not brining Euro soccer into it.
Baseball has the highest playoff variance especially w expanded postseason. Best teams don’t always win. Actually the usually do not win. End of day have 4 pennants in 8 seasons. And 2 chips. And 12 straight playoffs.

I don't see where you say currently or referred to just the 4 or 5 US sports in the post I responded to... You're moving the goalposts to suit your needs here but OK. Bottom line I see here is you seem to put more value in regular season success, I prefer Playoff success and Chips...
GS has been in the NBA finals 6 times in 9 playoff trips the same 12 years. They won 4 NBA titles and the 2 they lost went 7 games..... I would place that success over the Dodgers 12 Division Titles, 4 Pennants and 2 Chips. BTW, the Warriors have started this year 5-1.
I do get what you're saying and 1'm not trying to minimize anything, it is an impressive run. But if I were a Dodger fan, with that kind of dominance, I would like to see more Titles.
And I do believe that the NHL would give MLB a run for it's $$ on playoff variance thing. Seldom does the No.1 win the Stanley Cup. They call it the Presidents trophy jinx. They still allow more playoff teams then baseball despite MLB recent expansion.

Messier Oilers? Is that like the Pippin Bulls?
And Dodgers were robbed of 2017 and 2018 WS.

Yes Messiers Oilers.
Gretzky got Traded to the Kings and Messier lead the Oilers to another Cup w/o Gretzky one year later with the same team. And for good measure, Messier lead the Rangers to a Cup 3 years after that. And Gretzky lead no one anywhere after he left the Oilers... Messier 6 Stanley Cups, Gretzky 4 with and none w/o Messier. Messier 2 w/o Gretzky....

Tell me you don't know hockey without telling me you don't know hockey. You're just looking at end results, nothing more. That's ignorant.
If you watched the games, you would know that Tikkanen and Ranford won the fifth championship without Gretzky, not Messier. Nor was Messier a major contributor in the Rangers cup. He was more of a passenger both times, a beneficiary of better circumstances than Gretzky.
No one in their right minds would put Messier above Gretzky, especially when it comes to the Oilers' championships. That's simply absurd. Like the Pippin Bulls. Might as well call them the Glenn Anderson Oilers with your flawed logic.

I'm not moving goal posts, I said 4 major US sports. That's the NHL, NBA, MLB and NFL. In baseball since their ownership took over in 2012, they've been the dominant franchise in the sport. Astros (cheaters) and Red Sox have also won 2 titles over that span, but Dodgers have been doing it longer and Boston has been a bad team for 5 years.
Golden State had the best team in the NBA and added a top 3 player in free agency, which means they're pretty much guaranteed to win a title barring injury. In basketball 2-3 guys and a case is enough. Why they had the same NBA finals 4 years in a row. The easiest sport for top end talent to win.
KC is no doubt bordering on absurd. 4 AFC titles, 3 chips and numerous conf games. Of course their run started in 2018. Then there's the Dodgers. You can add GS although they didn't make the playoffs last year and MO aren't a title contdner despite a good start.
That's it and given the longevity, I'd ut LA at the top of the list.

We'll just have to agree to disagree on it. Red Sox btw won 4 WS in 14 years... but they didn't win their division every year. The Dodgers don't have the Yankees in their division or they wouldn't either. Watch them spend like hell now to beat the Dodgers next year...

I'm a Red Sox fan, hate the Yankees but I know what they do and who they are. They do it almost every year nice try tho . Typical libtrash, right straight to the personal attack cause someone disagreed. After i suggested we agree to disagree, no less.
Dodgers are imo, the New Atlanta Braves... who won a similar number of Division titles but won 1 WS title.
The Praise you crave for the Dodgers I give to a franchise that consistently wins Championships, not just divisions. And they've never done that in their history! No one puts the 70's Rams on a pedestal for their 7 Straight Division Titles but some Rams fans, because they never won Lombardi's.

Sox are back in business for the latter part of this Decade, Rampager. 4 stud kids coming up next year, 2B Kristian Campbell, SS Marcelo Mayer, C Kyle Teel, OF Roman Anthony. Sox will win a Title before Yankees do. If Yanks don't sign Soto they are f***ed!
It's their pitching that concerns me. We don't really have an ace. We were among the league leaders in scoring runs. I hope your right about the Yanks but they are the yanks. For example the Cy young guy on Detroit, Skubal, will end up in NY, you watch.

Red Sox owners decided to be a mid market team after 2018 thru no fault of their own. Great run but you’re not in conversation when you’ve been mediocre for 5 years. Yankees aren’t old Yankees. Hal is concerned the lux tax. They’ll lose Soto and even if they bring him back aren’t anything special. Dodgers got 120 million in sponsorships for signing Otani. Deferred most of his contract except 2 mil a year. Pays for itself. Franchise is playing chess. Everyone else is playing checkers. Hence why I said best run org in sport (while acknowledging KC and GS). And 4 pennants and 2 chips (should be 3) is plenty of winning. Baseball isn’t easy to win. Playoffs are random. Yankees have spent just as much and have one pennant in 15 years.

Yankees are going to be toast once they lose Soto. Stanton rarely plays, yes he had a great playoff run, and he can't play in the field well. Rizzo is going to be gone. Their 2B, isn't he an FA?, Flava Flav at 3B may be gone as well. Bottom line they don't play D well and they are a horrible base running team.
I hope the Dodgers resign Buehler but not looking good. I think they are going to make a run at the new Japanese pitcher coming over, he is going to be good. I heard today that Kike may be gone too which I am not happy about. Dodgers will make a move on a mid-fielder, probably get rid of Rojas. Hope they sign edman. time will tell
