So he's proven that he can get some stats against scrubs. Like to see him do it against starters... 8-)Jacksnow wrote: ↑August 17th, 2025, 7:43 am The win was good for the young players and Bennett. The vibe in the club house must be high.
Bennett completed 28 of 40 passes for 324 yards and three touchdowns with one interception, posting a passer rating of 108.8. That came after he had 188 yards and two touchdowns with a 100.7 passer rating the week prior.
Let's hope that doesn't happen until next year when Arch Manning is on the bench his first year :mrgreen:Rampager66 wrote: ↑August 17th, 2025, 8:44 amSo he's proven that he can get some stats against scrubs. No doubt. No one's saying he is Joe Montana. But he has improved, looks more confident, can actually avoid a tackle, and has made less forced passes, and is it just me Bennett has a very quick release.Rampager66 wrote: ↑August 17th, 2025, 8:44 amSo he's proven that he can get some stats against scrubs. He's been working with Sean for how long now???? And he's just now making plays against scrubs? I don't share your enthusiasm on him bro. Someone's got to take the reps when the starters sit out. I will however agree that there is a noticeable improvement in his play from last year's 2 preseason starts. Where does he go from here? Wait til preseason next year to play again or til Matt or Jimmy go down?Jacksnow wrote: ↑August 17th, 2025, 9:18 amNo doubt. No one's saying he is Joe Montana. Rampager it could very real that Bennett becomes Rams starter. JG is injury prone. And Stafford? Who knows. I think the Rams could very easily be on thin ice.Rampager66 wrote: ↑August 17th, 2025, 12:47 pmHe's been working with Sean for how long now???? And he's just now making plays against scrubs? Yeah I've thought about that too. I bet in that circumstance, they may be looking for a vet, a temporary rental. Maybe Stetson will get a chance and run with it. But yeah, it's troublesome having 1 and 2 both at a fragile state in their careers and an O-Line that's a work in progress... :|

I know the Chargers started Herbert and some of their other 1st stringers on Offense and they played the 1st series only. not sure about D.FelixTheStonerCat wrote: ↑August 17th, 2025, 3:47 pmHe did do it against starters.Rampager66 wrote: ↑August 17th, 2025, 8:44 am

You actually believe a Bennett led Offense of some 2nd and 3rd stringers, rookies, PS and depth players would run for 134 yards, pass for 324 more, have 26 1st downs and keep the ball for over 35 minutes against their Starters? I don't bro.
