Bottom post of the previous page:
Our offense played well in the 1st quarter; then Seattle made some adjustments that literally shut us down. I will need to go back and see what the heck they did. It certainly was effective.
Any thoughts on how Seattle responded to us?

1st Quarter? Were we really that dominant?
Rams had two Kyren runs of 30 n 34 yards and a decent pass completion to Higbee. Other than that not much. Where did they start their first TD drive? At Seattle’s 21 yard line after the Kichen INT. And they still had to go on 4th down to score…….
Again JMO, but a strong one that some don’t want to hear, the Seahawks front is just better than the Rams OL. They were Sunday and are right now. I don’t see that changing. The numbers we saw yesterday support this as well as what we watched Sunday…..
McVay apparently not aggressive? Look at OL. Look at Havs. They were dominated most of game other than a couple of plays. The last thing we wanted late was a big TO by our offense and the Rams OL was playing at a level to provide one……..

They disguised their blitz REALLY well . Tons of times our Tes whiffed on blocks because they couldn't see where it was coming from and it caught them off guard . Same goes for our O line .

This one was a squeeker.....4 INT's and the Hags had a real shot to steal this game.
The W is nice, but the Rams need to learn from this....IMO, this gave the Hags a ton of confidence and a belief that they are for real.
Exactly my thoughts

Their D played great. We had what, 3 chances to put the game away? Maybe more. They just kept getting 3 and outs when we just needed 1 more score. They have a legit D, as do the Rams.
We would probably score at least some FGs if Puka didn't fumble , if adams didn't drop that pass and if someone ( I can't remember who ) doesn't hold and set us back 10 yards . Those were 3 drive Killers. So as good as their D was , we were also not sharp and kinda sloppy . We won't be like that the second time.

Mistakes kill. Let's be honest. We won that game because of their mistakes(Darnold). It's a game of inches. In the end, we were slightly better.

Imo , the weak link is HAV at this point , dude just can't be a starter anymore , either he is still hurt or he is done . Did you see his PFF score for this game ?
Mclendon improved so he should start . SHelton has always been a very good run blocker and bad at pass pro so with him , we know it is what it is . Avilla , Dotson and AJ are damn good . But the 3 of them didn't bring their TOP A game yesterday . Our O line , imo , is as good as their D-line or any D-line . We have faced stronger D-lines than the HAwks this year and we did well . ( see : Eagles and Texans )

If they are not drafting a QB , I agree 100 % . OT NEEDS to be priority one or even a CENTER . Can't have a center that is only good when run blocking and SUCKS at pass pro.

there isn't a QB worth it IMO.....wait until the 2nd or 3rd round....if we are in the top 10 I think you have to target a LT

AJ is good but we need depth . But at least we have our LT1 in AJ imo ....... I would think RT is more important because Hav is done and Mclendon improved but is he good enough to be RT1 ? Not sure .
what about center ? we can't roll with shelton forever , he can't pass protect .

OT same thing. C isn't going to be worth that high of a pick. now 2nd round maybe. defense needs to be addressed too

Any thoughts on how Seattle responded to us?
Gut feeling is, they try to respond, but do not succeed.
We play them very well in Seattle... we are very even except for one position, the most important one... and that QB. I dont want to take anything away from the journeyman Darnold (he has had a hell of a year and I am a USC guy and like watching our guys do well), BUT there is a reason why he's been 5 teams in 7 years... BUT, he is no Matt Stafford.
Sure, Stafford didnt have a good game this past Sunday, but I think we figure out how to protect Matt a bit better next game. As for Darnold, we're going to go after him like a bunch of wild banshies next game, our D front will pressures Darnold out his mind, except more pics.
Rams got humbled this past week, and it was a GOOD thing. Seattle showed our flaws, and you best believe Tampa is in serious tape time this week... How do we respond? That is the question this week,

Darnold is a turnover machine always has been since his days at USC

Del Mar,
You hit it right on the head: Tampa is reviewing our Seattle mishaps big time.
We must protect Stafford better.
For Christ sakes, three TEs better be beefing up the line of scrimmage.

Agree. But can’t the same be said about our 4 INT? If we Seattle did this instead of this we don’t throw those picks and we probably score…………
Stafford was pressured 12 times last Sunday. Not all 4 drops mind you but I bet a few was because Stafford was pressured n got off his mark n threw behind…………In fact I know that was the case.
Havs I agree it is probably time. But McVay is so loyal to the vets. I don’t see a change even though I’m close to saying it is time. If Havs costs us the last game no matter when it is then that is probably going to be on McVay……….
I’m will say though the OL has played well up to last Sunday. And I think it will continue other than we will see on 12/18………….

How many on this board would have been happy at the beginning of the season if someone would have said "We will be 8-2 in week 11"? I think everyone would have been ecstatic. We can nitpick on this board better than most, but the fact is we are still 8-2 and one of the best teams in the NFL!
We are far from perfect, but so is every other team. My glass is 1/2 full! 25+ teams would love to trade places with us. I am going to enjoy this 8-2 while I can. I am not going to worry about Seattle until we play them again. Tampa is our next victim and I don't care if we only win by 1 point, as long as we win.

It was obvious the SEA defense would be a problem - and it was. We need to block better? Every team playing the Rams, Denver & Seattle D needs to block better. Just saw Verse had 7 pressures, the second most for any player last weekend (yet he hardly gets a mention here).
13 personnel wasn't working, so McVay moved on. The Rams punted and seattle threw picks. Chaulk it up to two of the League's best defenses forcing the offenses out of their comfort zone.
Of course Tampa was watching - it's called game planning, and happens every week by every team. Doesn't mean they will execute like seattle did.
Rams are favored by almost a TD. Should be another tough game of course, and there is always weeks where you don't play your best, but I can't imagine anyone laying betting odds favoring the Bucs.

Yep, agreed. I think the Rams biggest obstacle is not another team, but staying healthy. If we can stay pretty much healthy, we win another chip. No doubt in my mind.
(Also, I did pick us to be 8-2 at this point over the summer, I'll find the thread. BUT, I am STILL ECSTATIC)
