I don’t know if SJ will ever truly get his flowers for how great/valuable he was to the Franchise on some horrible teams. He was all we had for a really long time. If he would have played with the GSOT or under McVay he’d be a NFL rock star.

I picked Dickerson. It was a toss up between Faulk and Dickerson.
The difference for me is that Faulk played when the Rams had a great passing game which opened up the running game.

I had to go with Dickerson and Faulk. (Instructions said to pick 2.)
Steve Jackson is getting left out and he has the most franchise yards. Interesting.
Gurley was awesome, but just wasn't around long enough. (I did not vote for him even if he is a bulldawg!)

Top Five Overall:
{1} Eric Dickerson
{2} Marshall Faulk
{3} Steven Jackson
{4} Lawrence McCutcheon
{5} 'Jaguar Jon' Arnett
To me, #s 1-4 were 'slam dunks,' extremely obvious choices; the #5 spot was close among Dick Bass, Todd Gurley and Arnett.
Jackson, Bass and Arnett never got the full recognition they deserved due to playing mostly on unimpressive Rams teams... :? ;)
RAM SEASON!!

This pole and some of the comments have made me rethink Stephen Jackson... that dude put up numbers through one of the worst periods in Rams history and behind terrible lines... if he would have started a few years earlier or later, we may be talking about him being #1

me too I forget how good he way and then being #1 in rushing was a huge surprise. Let's not forget what happens if the Rams don't trade Bettis????

1: Marshall Faulk... He and Roger Craig were the precursor to what is and should be considered the ideal NFL running back.. What puts Faulk over the top for me was his absolute blitz pickup and then his WR like route running. Many considered him a coach on the field.
2: Steven Jackson... IMO this is the ideal Sean McVay running back.. Big, Beast mode kind of power... yet fast. Most of all pure heart and effort. He too was good as Receiver.
3: Eric Dickerson... Big, extremely fast. Of course the records... Fumbling and attitude put him here IMO
4: Jerome Bettis.. Short time.. but we all know what he was.. Rams bailed on him not the other way around.
5: Todd Gurley... was what Steven Jackson would have been in this McVay offense... That damn knee... Jackson was even more physical though.. And again, Jackson had more heart.

yeah was never a fan of the Bettis trade. You don't trade HOF'ers
