Give this some thought. Terrance Ferguson's 40-yard dash time at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine was 4.63 seconds. Derion Kendrick ran a 4.79 at the combine. That is very concerning.

Swing OT is the biggest need imo bc if a starting CB goes down we can survive not sure if one of our Tackles gets injured.

Agreed! The Rams will need to sign a decent veteran OT during the post-June 1st period of free agency, even two of them should it prove feasible.

They optimally also still need a #1 CB, however I'm hoping that they will stay away from Jalen Ramsey... :? ;) :geek:

Rams pass rush will help the secondary. Rams secondary wasnt why they lost to the Eagles. Rams run defense, KW, and Stafford turnovers along with Limmer poor play down the stretch was why the eagles lost.

I'm more concerned about the lack of depth at tackle. Hav and AJ always miss a few games. When one of them are out, the Rams offense struggles. If both are out, forget it.

This would be my priority as well...

We do have JG but I see him as just solid.. probably not enough to take us far into playoffs if Stafford gets injured... but who knows.

OT depth for me is the real problem... there is no way to cover that i.e. CB play can be somewhat covered with a good pass rush..

Ummmm, so the Rams acquiring Poona Ford, Nate Landman and Chris Paul, Jr. doesn't "address our run defense"?

How much improvement will occur is uncertain, however there clearly was a meaningful effort by the McVay/Snead regime to upgrade our team's run "D"... 8-) :idea:

Ford is a beast vs the run, ask Charger fans. Chris Paul Jr and Landman (good vs run with atl) are upgrades as well.

Take it to the house RB? No. 1/shut down CB, but hard no on JR!!

Hmmmmm…. A 5’ll” DT an undrafted LB Landman, and a 5th round ILB in Paul is a Hail Mary not a hard and focused strategy. (Although Nate Landman is from the east bay and went to the high school I took summer school at as a sophomore).

6th best DL run defender. If you question/ask, if these stats, were shown on the field. Ask Charger Fans, they will tell you yes. He was as good as advertised.

Poona Ford is generally considered a Top Ten NT in the league, Nate Landman is purportedly a decent run defender and Chris Paul, Jr. was a first-team All-American plus rated the #4 ILB in the recent NFL draft by some sources.

Ford's lack of height hasn't seemed to prevent him was being quite an effective player, I don't view Landman's undrafted status as meaningful at this point in his career, and of course we'll have to see how Paul ends up playing as a pro.

I wasn't expecting our team to be able to acquire an All-Pro NT, an All-NFC ILB and the top-rated ILB in the draft, so I wasn't disappointed when it didn't do so. The players the Rams did manage to obtain strike me as likely to upgrade their run "D" significantly this year... 8-) :idea:

Agree Poona was a great signing and we should look at results not measurables.. Also i think Rams improved as season went along and the young guys started to find themselves... Phili remains our run nemesis though

Commish it sounds like you have convinced yourself and possibly (Jack Snow).

Me not so much. I agree that Poona Ford will help with the rush but I don't think our D-Line was the source of giving up 314 and 172 rushing yards to the Eagles last year. Our problem was primarily at inside linebacker where we face the possibility of starting Troy Reeder (UDFA) Nate Landman (UDFA) and Omar Speights (drum roll please: "also a UDFA") at our weakest position. I was a huge supporter of Omar after last seasons pre-season however, was Omar great or was it a case of "in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king?" The Eagles gashed him too.

I would have thought someone on this board would have mention the one player I am most excited about Shuan Dolac who was one of three NCAA College Inside Linebackers to be named to the starting all American team along with Jay Higgans and Danny Stutsman. Chris Paul also made the team but was not designated a starter like Shuan.

I would have preferred that the Rams had taken sure tackler Danny Stutsman (rather than that outside linebacker from Michigan) a giant nose tackle like Arkansas DL Ian Geffrard (6-foot-5, 388 pounds) but did not enter the nfl draft, or DL Desmond Watson (6-foot-5, 449 pounds) from Florida. To stuff the middle and prevent the tush-push (5'11" Poona won't) + we lost 6'6" 330 bound Brown on our DL (who sucked).
