The 2025 NFL schedule features seven games outside the United States. Soon, the league wants to play 16 games a year in other countries according to Scott Wapner of CNBC.

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said the league is all-in on opening new international markets and isn’t slowing down. “I do see 16 regular season games, and I do think that will happen in the very near future,” Goodell told CNBC’s Scott Wapner. “Within five years probably.”

It is all about the money not what the fans want IMHO

Well, if you're an international fan living in one the foreign Countries... then it is actually about the fans... but just not state side fans.

I get the move, but 16 games is bananas. If the Rams have to travel again next year out of the Country.... I vote we play in Tijuana. Short drive and you can visit the donkey show.

For a minute I thought that was legoland.

I guess the NFL is at a crossroads... cannot really grow in the US anymore as next level markets are too small so obvious route is to go overseas.. I think they should bite the bullet and open up a division in Europe. Teams in London, Berlin, Madrid and Paris. Will be tricky scheduling to not prejudice teams but i think its the next logical step.

They also need to build a developmental league in Europe as the NBA is now attempting (of course Basketball is already huge in Europe)

PS: That is one ugly stadium in Mexico !!!
