Posted: August 2nd, 2025, 10:07 am
When: Saturday, August 9, 7 pm ET
Where: SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, California
How to Watch: NBC
Now, I know this is just a preseason game. So its not really about who we got to win, like we do during regular season...
But, what about these questions?
• What backup group or player are you looking forward to the most?
• How many fights will happen when the Cowboys attend a joint practice w our Rams this week?
• Final score and who wins?
• MVP of the game?
Now, lets review the BUBBLE WATCH...
Several Rams players are currently considered "on the bubble" for making the final 2025 roster. Here are some of the key battles and players to watch:
Running back
Blake Corum: While drafted in the 2024 draft, Corum faces a potential uphill battle with the continued strong performance of Kyren Williams (who had another 1,000+ yard season in 2024). Williams is also seeking a contract extension, which could impact Corum's immediate role and potentially put him on the bubble if the Rams prioritize other positions with their roster spots. Jarquez Hunter: As another back drafted in 2025, Hunter will need to prove himself in a potentially crowded backfield to secure a roster spot.
Wide receiver
Xavier Smith and Konata Mumpfield: These players are currently battling for a spot on the depth chart, and their performance in the preseason will be crucial for making the final roster.
Jordan Whittington: Although listed as a "lock" by one source, Whittington will likely still need to perform well to secure his spot, particularly with the arrival of Davante Adams via free agency.
Offensive line
Dylan McMahon and KT Leveston: These players are vying for backup roles on the offensive line and will need to show their versatility to be considered for the final roster.
Linebacker
Nate Landman and Omar Speights: These linebackers have emerged as frontrunners in the competition for starting roles, but they still need to solidify their positions, with players like Troy Reeder and Chris Paul Jr. also in the mix.
Cornerback
Derion Kendrick: Despite being re-signed, Kendrick remains on the bubble according to one source, and will need to demonstrate his value in camp and preseason games.
Josh Wallace, A.J. Green, and Shaun Jolly: These cornerbacks will be competing for the remaining spots, with special teams contributions and defensive snaps potentially playing a role in their selection.
Defensive line:
Players like Tyler Davis and Larrell Murchison are battling for spots on a defensive line that features established players like Kobie Turner, Braden Fiske, and newcomer Poona Ford.
Safety:
Nate Valcarcel is competing for a depth spot in the safety room.
