Cowboys now have 24 total yards and 3 points after 3 drives. The Rams were flagged for 72 yards in penalties on the Dallas FG drive.

Well, we can see who’s not going to make the final cut. Jolly.

Defense had a good half except for Jolly. Something to build on. Offense went to sleep after the 1st 2 drives. DAL get it to the start 2nd H.

Cowboys were able to score 2 TDs in the 4th Q against our 5 stringers. Still won by 2 scores.... I see a couple that should be gone..

Limmer was overrated last year and had a dud game. Lampkin looks tiny at center but does the job (as he always has).

My observations:
Offense
Bennett spread the ball around and had nice touch. He has definitely made use of his time this year. He's gotten more work than the last 2 years combined.
OL was amazing. Corum and Hunter ran at will. Shrader did too but who knows who he was playing against in the 4th quarter.
Xavier Smith looked good at WR, especially that 4th down, 37-yard dime he caught from Bennett. Whittington didn't dress so he's probably WR4 but we might see X-Man as WR5 and Pressley/Shrader or somebody new as the KR.
Defense
We were pretty far into our depth chart but we have some big guys in there as run stoppers. Heflin made some plays and Norton is a big dude I've never heard of. He's a 6'6 335lb undrafted rookie who clogged the middle on the goal line at the end of the game.
It was nice to see Paul and Dolac making their presence felt out there. I doubt we keep 5 ILB so it might come down to Dolac or Reeder. Reeder didn't dress so he has the obvious edge. Even some randoms like Fields, Neal and Pearcy showed up last night.
We are deep in the secondary but I have the feeling we will have a new CB or S make the team this year. Valcarcel had some nice hits and Wallace/Lampkin/Woods were all over the field. I was lovin' AJ Green until he got burned a few times. It will be tough to crack the 53 but maybe one of them shows more upside than Kendricks and sneaks onto the 53. I liked Lampkin, Woods and McCollough last year and McCollough made it. I actually think Wallace and Woods played a little bit last year too because of injury.
All I know is we have a great team and looked really good out there.

Fantastic analysis. The OL was dominant even with the scrubs.

I liked Shrader a lot….small sample size and against scrubs but he ran like a fullback, I liked that.

Thanks, I'm sure I missed something. Yes, the OL looked great all game. There is an outside chance an UDFA makes the 53 on the OL. Dedich and McMahon came out of nowhere last year. McClendon looks safe because he didn't dress so there aren't many available spots. If AJ Jackson is 100% ready we might not need Quessenberry, only DJ Humphries. If Leveston continues to play well he would be a younger, cheaper OG/Swing OT.
Locks
AJ Jackson
Avila
Shelton
Dotson
Havenstein
Backups
Limmer
Humphries
McClendon
Probably 1 from all these guys below
Dedich
*McMahon
Leveston
Quessenberry
PS
Arcuri
Dooley
Lampkin
Bowles
Wedig
* didn't dress for the Cowboys game which is a good sign

Just read some of posts on Cowboys boards. This post sums them up in general. We should consider ourselves lucky to be a Rams fan.
1) They hate their coach...or at least don't think he is a winner
2) They don't think Parsons is worth QB money (can't disagree with them)
3) They believe Dak Prescott can get them to .500 record but he is not a top tier QB and flops in the playoffs
I love it when Dallas sucks.

1. Fire Shottenheimer after this season.
2. Trade Parsons for a 1st and a 2nd to a team that sucks and will draft top 10.
3. Package those picks and Dak and then draft a new QB.

It’s preseason. With that said………..
I thought Bennett finally looked comfortable playing the position………..
Chris Paul Jr. looked like he could help immediately………….
RB position has as good of depth as this team has had in years. Deep………….
You can have 5 back-up OL who have all started in the NFL………….

After watching the preseason, I gotta say, this is the deepest team we've had in the McVay era. At least in my opinion. We have depth at ILB, QB, OL, RB and possibly DB. Even at WR we have solid depth. Its actually great to see, because anyone could possibly step up.

My thoughts exactly. I wonder how much 2026 will play into final cuts. For example, Kenricks will be a FA so does he lose a toss up to Lampkin?Do they give someone like Valcarcel a longer look because Curl and Lake will be FA's?
Of course they will put the best team on the field for 2025 but if all things are equal I wonder if they go with the younger player who will be here next year.

What makes this throw work is his footwork. Slides to the left and quickly sets his feet. Great form.
