Robinson would certainly soften the blow if CM were to get hurt or isn't the same player.

Per: PFT

Brian Robinson is heading to San Francisco.

The Commanders have traded Robinson, their top running back the last three seasons, to the 49ers for a 2026 sixth-round draft pick.

Robinson is entering the fourth and final year of his rookie contract, and it has become clear that he and the Commanders would soon be going their separate ways. The only question was what the Commanders could get for him in a trade, and the answer was not much — a late-round draft pick — but better than nothing at all.

Robinson has a 2025 base salary of $3.4 million, but the commanders have agreed to pay part of that, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Network.

Now Robinson joins a backfield in San Francisco led by Christian McCaffrey.

The Commanders will make Austin Ekeler their primary ball carrier, and seventh-round rookie Jacory Croskey-Merritt will likely have a significant role in the offense as Ekeler’s backup.

In his three NFL seasons, Robinson has 570 carries for 2,329 yards and 15 touchdowns, plus 65 catches for 587 yards and five receiving touchdowns.

Yeah. Decent player and in a contract year. They need some receivers.

Would be shocked if he made an impact on this team. could be wrong

I lean towards this^.

Robinson is a good back but nothing great. When healthy I think Guerendo is just as good if not better. But for a 6th I’d would have probably made the trade also………

Bottom line those RB are going to be facing a lot of numbers on the opponent’s defensive front if that is the receiver unit they are staying with as well as a OL with no depth.

So why did the Skins just get rid of him because it's a contract year and didnt want to pay him the big bucks? If so, why? For a 6th rounder in '26... This tells me Washington was waiting to move on from this kid. 🤷🏼‍♂️

August 28, 2022, Robinson was shot in the knee and glute during an armed robbery involving two men after leaving a restaurant in the Near Northeast neighborhood of Washington, D.C. shortly before 6 p.m. EDT. He suffered non life-threatening damage and was discharged from MedStar Washington Hospital Center the following day.

Well, maybe this guy isn't so bummed he picked the wrong Robinson now...

And....

His stats aren't that big of a deal... See for yourself 👇🏼

Pretty average stats.
This is a passing league and the 49ers receivers are hurting.

Glendora, maybe in the future if you have a thread title like "This isn't good," you could add a (not about Stafford) to the end. I about had a heart attack, expecting some doomsday prognosis on the back.
