All NFL teams must cut their roster to 53 players by the end of day August 26.

I will update this thread as cuts are made. Please help me out and do the same.

How does Drake Stoops make the team? 5 game suspension for PEDS. Does a guy on suspension take a roster spot? To bad he has a contract

Answer my own question he does not take a roster spot away from 53 while suspended.

I forgot about that. I was weighing out Stoops vs Covey because of their similar skills. No point right now.

Which receivers do you hope will be on the practice squad?

I like Stoops but the WR depth is stacked. I'm hoping Presley is on the 53 or PS.

I don’t know what they see in practice, but Based on the games, I would definitely keep Presley on the 53 over Mumpfield.

I absolutely agree with you. I wonder if the contracts play into the Rams' decisions? Based on what I can read, I don't think so.

TST claims that Mumpfield is the “perfect” Rams receiver.

What do I know?

A few of those guys, like Leglue, were just signed as bodies for the Cle game.

They knew that Leglue wouldn’t stick.
Sorry.

So it begins…

After he warmed up he had some nice throws, especially the sideline throws to Stoops and Edwards. He shoud do well in the UFL.

What I find interesting and never gave much thought is " camp guy." For example Leglue brought in just to give other O Line guys a breather for game 3. No real other reason. Leglue got a paycheck for a week, got some play time that other teams may like, and later in season if rams have injuries bring him back. I know there is more to it than what I mentioned but it gets complex quick.

It was also pretty obvious in the 1st qtr that the Rams 3-4th stringer OL couldn’t compete against the CLE starters, esp with Bojourquez pinning them back. Winn definitely got better as the competition got more balanced.

Rams roster is set, but it's a secret

“Rams coach Sean McVay revealed on Monday that the team's 53-man roster is set, but the team doesn't have to announce anything until tomorrow, so they've decided to take their sweet time.”

Doesn’t surprise me. McBay/Snead are probably reviewing all the other teams cuts too. We could easily cut an additional person to make room for someone else’s cut. Depending on which backups are our weakest link. Not to mention there may be a player we are going to cut that we can get a 7th round draft pick in exchange.

The LA Rams' deadline to cut their roster down to the final 53 players is Tuesday, August 26, 2025, at 4 p.m. ET. Teams began making their initial cuts over the weekend, with the Rams having already waived several players. Players cut by the deadline will either be placed on waivers, subject to claims by other teams, or become free agents, while teams will also begin forming their practice squads

Rules are Rules, but doing this on camera was a bad move my Jeff. Just stupid.

Also, seeing Fisher gives me to many memories of being a .500 ball club. Same damn thing every season. Mr 7 and 9 himself.

Thanks for ruining my afternoon Upland.

It looks like it is true:

“ The Los Angeles Rams have made their first mildly surprising cut of 2025. According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Rams are waiving second-year edge rusher Brennan Jackson.”

I like Jackson. A good pick-up for someone. We knew this roster looked deep…….
