Not convinced we need 4 Tight Ends

Keep Ferguson, Higby, and Davis Allen.

Even if it does not save cap space we have other needs and should keep 5 ILBs (or my preference only 4) and cut Reeder.

We need 4 with Higbee on the team. He is always good for missing 4-5 games due to injury.

Ferguson and Allen, at this point in their early careers, are receiving tight ends / hybrid big wrs.

Yeah, 4 TE's and 5 ILB's really leaves us thin at other positions in terms of talent. I don't hate Reeder like most but that could be one spot. Nobody would poach him before getting to our PS. If I had to choose 1 TE to cut it would be Allen because we need the experience of Higbee and Parkinson.

Tough calls coming up.

I like Allen because of how he has flashed in the past and because all reports are that he had a great camp. He’s also very tight with Kobie Turner and other young players. BUT If they can stash Redman on the PS for emergencies, they might be fine without him.

Also, if Higbee is 100%, maybe they’d trade Parkinson and keep Allen. Midseason Parkinson seemed like a dud, but early and late he flashed why they signed him.

Tough calls!

The issue I have us will Higbee last 4, 6, . games? Think about trading H and go with youth movement. The prob with H is contract and trade value

I think we keep 3 on 53, then one on practice squad… we’ll see I guess

Davis Allen can catch but he is slow as molasses. I think Parkinson's contract is trade prohibitive although I could be mistaken.

Rams don’t throw enough to the TE to warrant 4 TEs. Higs going nowhere, Ferguson drafted, Parkinson was their wasted FA just last year and Davis Allen. Is Allen necessary? Perhaps more than Parkinson.

So weird SoCalRam78 - I agree with about every one of your posts, every time, each year.

If they want to play the long game and go with 4 TE's then keeping Allen would be the play. Higbee and Parkinson could be salary cap casualties next year leaving us with young TE's Ferguson, Allen, Redman, and a draft pick/cheap FA.

However, this season is about winning the Super Bowl so we need Higbee and Parkinson's experience and veteran leadership.

Parkinson can go , even if Higbee gets hurt you can find a Parkinson somewhere. Save the money and send him packing. He just isn't very good.

Sorry cannot agree here. He has done absolutely nothing in his time here to prove that he is anything but a HACK

Ummmm, so if Colby Parkinson is 'an absolute beast' at TE, why did the Rams expend a second-round draft pick to select Terrance Ferguson a few months ago...?? :? :?:

RAM SEASON!!
