Arkansas' Taylen Green is 6'6" 230 and can make all the throws and is averaging 9.6 yards per carry in the SEC.
Check him out in the Memphis game; he's the real deal.
Yes, I'm an Arkansas homer.

will do. It is crazy so far that all the so called Top Prospects, QB wise, in next year's draft have pretty much sucked so far.

Agree 100%. Now I'm kind of hoping we trade at least one of our 2026 #1 draft picks for a 2027 #1 round pick so we have at least 2 #1 picks for 2027...

Well that was an ugly game; welcome to my mediocre Razorback world. We fumble at the end and lose by 1 point.
Green is still a very good QB prospect; Razorbacks suck.
Turn the team over to OC Petrino and see what he can do.

DRAFT PROFILE: BIO
Coming from the transfer portal with something to prove, Taylen Green delivered a statement 2024 campaign that has NFL scouts circling his name for the 2026 draft class. The Texas native's journey from Lewisville High School to Boise State and finally Arkansas reflects a player whose ceiling rises with each stop. After winning Mountain West Freshman of the Year honors in 2022 and Conference Championship MVP in 2023, Green found a new gear in the SEC, accumulating 3,756 total yards (3,154 passing, 602 rushing) and 23 touchdowns in his first season as a Razorback.
Green's 2024 season revealed both his tantalizing upside and areas requiring refinement. His 416-yard passing performance against Oklahoma State displayed arm talent worthy of early-round consideration, while his five-touchdown masterpiece against Mississippi State showcased his dual-threat capabilities. Perhaps most impressive was his Liberty Bowl MVP performance, where he became the only FBS quarterback this century to pass for 300+ yards, rush for 75+ yards, average 30+ yards per completion, and throw zero interceptions in a single game.
The athletic credentials jump off the page - Green made Bruce Feldman's 2023 Freak List after reportedly hitting speeds near 23 MPH in training. His background as a 43-foot triple jumper in high school manifests on Saturdays through explosive cuts and open-field running ability that belies his towering 6'6" frame.
SCOUTING REPORT: STRENGTHS
Super athletic - Made Bruce Feldman's 2023 Freak's List at #88. He Wrote: "Green threw for more than 2,000 yards, completing 61 percent of his passes, and was responsible for 24 touchdowns (14 passing, 10 rushing). He then went on to earn Frisco Bowl Offensive MVP honors. He’s 6-6, 230 pounds, but can also hit almost 23 MPH on the GPS. In high school, Green was a 43-foot-5-inch triple jumper"
Delivers gorgeous deep balls with natural touch and driving velocity, particularly excelling on vertical routes where his arm strength truly shines.
Maintains downfield vision during scramble drills better than most pocket passers, finding secondary receivers while navigating traffic.
Runs angry for a quarterback his size, consistently shedding tacklers and showing decisive one-cut ability that produces chunk yardage.
Shows impressive command in RPO concepts, quickly identifying defensive leverage and delivering accurate throws while moving laterally.
Performs best in spotlight moments, evidenced by clutch plays against ranked Tennessee and his bowl game heroics against Texas Tech.
Demonstrated meaningful growth after transferring to Arkansas, improving completion percentage and decision-making against elite competition.
Radiates natural leadership that teammates gravitate toward, quickly earning respect in Arkansas locker room despite being a transfer.

I hated what I saw out of Arch today taunting that defensive player when he ran into the endzone. wait until he plays a real opponent and we will see what he does. The season starts next week IMO.

How does an SEC team lose to Memphis State? I saw this guy play the entire game against Ole Miss and while very effective on the RPO, his passes were extremely inconsistent.

If it stays that way I agree. Kick the can down the road one more year with Stafford and get a longer look at Bennett.
That being said, I'd like to add a 2nd and 3rd/4th to fill some holes. We already know we need CB and OT but we have a lot of FA's too.

I dont like a 6'6 QB. Thats a lot of leg area to get hit.
I watched the Duke / Cal game last week. Was really impressed with Dukes QB Darian Mensah. He was on fire with all of his throws. 6'3, but only 205 lbs. Going to continue keeping an eye on him.

Let's see how Green does against Tennessee with Bobby Petrino now taking over as the Razorbacks HC.
Would love to grab Green in the 2nd round and use our 2 first rounders on an LT and CB.
