As the Rams put the loss to the Eagles in the rearview mirror, Week 4 brings the Indianapolis Colts (3-0) to SoFi Stadium on Sunday, September 28. Despite a heartbreaking loss to the Philadelphia Eagles—where they squandered a 19-point second-half lead and failed on a last-second field goal —the Rams have opened as 3.5-point favorites.

Is that a 3.5 favorite in the first half or second half? Also 1:05 start, that's nice.

Colts are 3-0, but keep in mind that the combined record of the three teams the Colts have defeated is 1-8

What concerns me in this game is the Colts' big receivers matched up against Darious Williams & Cobie Durant.
Michael Pittman Jr. is 6'4" and is averaging 12 yards per catch, while Alec Pierce is 6'3 and is averaging 19 yards per catch. We saw last week that the Rams' corners were manhandled against big receivers.
Darious Williams is 5'9" /187lbs and is giving up a whopping passing rating of 118.8, and 17 yards per reception.
Cobie Durant is 5'11" / 180lbs and is giving up a much better passing rating of 45.6, and 15.8 yards per reception.
The Colts' Alec Pierce is in concussion protocol this week, and his status is unknown. Josh Downs is the Colts' primary slot receiver and is 5'9", 171lbs. Darious Williams would be a much better matchup covering the slot.
Your thoughts?

I am more concerned about Jonathan Taylor, he is built like and runs like a modern day Eric Dickerson.

Many factors will play a role on of the Rams win or not but the biggest factors imo will be
Which Stafford will show up? The Stafford from the eagles game that struggled to complete passes to open receivers or the Stafford from week 1 and week 2?
Is STs fixed? STs had fg blocked vs Titans and then twice vs the Eagles.
Will Mcvay and Shula play for multiple kill shots? I dont care how big the lead is, Rams need to take a page out of Campbell playbook. When you have a good team down you keep playing as if the score is tied. Shula soft defense in the 2nd half and Mcvay not being more aggressive before the half, which might not have mattered against the eagles bc Stafford missed a open wr for a 1st down, but wuth that said, Mcvay should always be aggressive.

Just hit, just run, just block and just tackle. You do that and there is no question what the answer is going to be in this ball game.

Pat McAfee is a huge Colts homer but he said the Colts have the fewest punts in the first 3 games of an NFL season ever.
They’ve punted 1 time in 3 games. Certainly a test for the Rams defense

Stafford is pissed off and the Colts have no pass rush. If Avila is back, I see the Rams scoring at least 35. Conversely, the Rams Run D has been great. I think they relatively contain Taylor(below his average) and this will force Indiana Jones/Danny Dimes to beat them. I foresee a "deer in the headlights" scenario like the one that played out with Darnold in the playoffs last year. Colts coming in riding high. Away, non-conference game that they don't really need to win. Rams win going away.

This game worries me.......Colts have the #1 offense and a good defense.
I know, I know, they have not played any good team yet but Jonathon Taylor and Pittman could be trouble.

Time for this Rams team to get angry and start pushing other teams around. Still waiting for that Rams swagger to develop. Hard to strut your stuff when your game-winning FGs are blocked.
Puka and Adams will each rack up 100yards; Kryen will match them in yardage. Defense will register 6 sacks. Stafford will have 350 yards passing.
Make it so.

From ESPN
However, Jones has not improved in all aspects of his game. He is still struggling to throw under pressure, which could be the final indicator that will make or break his season, according to ESPN's Matt Bowen.
“But my concern for Jones moving forward is his ability to make smart decisions and throw with accuracy when he is truly pressured,” Bowen wrote. “His completion percentage against pressure drops to 50%, and his off-target rate jumps to 17.4%. Plus, Jones' average yards per attempt also falls to 5.7. Can he still play at a high level when his internal clock is sped up due to edge or interior pressure?”

On 3rd and short will McVay call a 40 yard low percentage pass or play smart and get the yard to move the chains?

Not even concerned with taylor . Our run defense has greatly improved since last year . The issue seems to see the secondary , without akehlo it seems we are pretty much unable to stop the pass. Darius Williams and Durant are both GARBAGE . Forbes is undersized.

I'm not sure the corners will be as much of an issue this weak. It starts with stopping Taylor 1st.
Jones isn't going to try to beat us going deep or even with midrange passing.
He's a dink and dunker, mostly to the TE and RB and most of the time the coverage will be on the LB's and S's.
Hitch, screen, slant, checkdown... Vanilla.. see if Shula's ready for it.

After the ABYSMAL Amercias showing in the Ryder Cup (worst loss ever by

, and this is not hyperbole. The absolute WORST). Then my USC Trojans losing to an average Illinois team…. It’s been a rough wkend guys.
I need some joy in my life. So, hoping Church then our beloved Rams fix this awful wkend tomorrow.
Rams just need to bring home the W tomorrow. Bottomline.
