Seems Havenstein is out for SF game and W Mc is in @ RT - Not sure W Mc has improved since he came aboard but the consensus was his best position is RT- Is he our 3 rd OT in the actual depth chart ? What is the fan consensus on Warren McClendon as a functional backup over Humphries/ Quissenberry @ OT ?

I like him much better at RT than at LT. I am not sure how he faired during the preseason games so my only knowledge from him is college.
He has two Natty's starting at RT for UGA so he has to at least be decent. He never allowed a sack to my knowledge. I expected him to be a 2nd stringer by now, so not sure if he has a problem. (Yes, college is much different than NFL, but he has faced some great defenses.)

JMO he wasn’t good last year. A disappointment. The year before I thought he did a good job run blocking……….

Have to agree on that point - Humphries clearly was the more “pedigreed “ player & was happy the Rams grabbed him during the AJ scenario . Again , who knows what the coaching staff is seeing in practice from him .

We beter keep a TE parked on the right side all night long; you can bet SF will test this on every down.

Well Havs has been bad. I am not even sure he deserves to be starting anymore. But of course, that only depends on how good the others are. I'm glad to see McClendon in there tonight. Will just have to wait and see if he has put in the work and improved. But he can't be much worse than Havs. In the past, he was just slow to pick up the speed rush off the right end.

Agreed with a few others. Hav been playing mediocre at best lately. It would be best for the Rams if McClendon takes a huge step forward tonight. If McClendon can prove himself, he very well could be the Rams starting RT next year.
With that said, one game at a time.

McClendon arms look like my grandmother's, smooth
If I'm trying to make a football team and start, I'm gonna be fucking diesel, I'm gonna look like I work out

Rams stick with this guy but he cannot play - key blown block on Corum fumble. If McVay like you you just get to stay ( Reeder) and it hurts the O functionality.
