Will anybody be held accountable after this loss?

Will the rookie RB, Hunter get some carries next week? Will the Rams call up cb AJ Green and/or Cam Lamkin?

Will the ST coach get fired or get some help by hiring a experienced ST coach to assist him?

Time to fire Blackburn period. 4 blocks especially after Philly game is a fireable offense.

Mac Jones threw for 350 yards. Almost everything underneath. Comical. Shanahan was playing for 2nd and 3 every drive.

I am contemplating to not watch anymore if the ST's coach is not fired. Seriously . Until the rams FIX their kicking operation we won't win many games , so why bother watching ?

I won't try to say the defense performed well - they had their issues for sure - but they made stops at key points and did enough to keep the game close - we can't expect the defense to hold every game to 12 points from the opponent (although I expected much better against a beat up 49ers squad)....this loss is on Offense + STs - if either of those elements had played competently (not super, not lights out - just not complete $hit) we win this game IMO

Having said that - we have issues at CB that either scheme or personnel need to resolve

I'm pissed too...but why is the focus on McVay? I really think the players made all the mistakes on the field. Not bad play calls, or time management. Maybe the last play of the game? I would have kicked simply because Mac Jones looked absolutely trashed after that last series. But the way the D was playing, I get going for the win. I blame the players and yes- the ST coach. Fire him yesterday please.

he is the capt of the shit and yes the last play call by him was beyond bad. But their defensive game plan was terrible and the ST's were bad once again. so it falls on McVay IMO

Exactly . On top of it , the St's coach and DC coach were HIRED by Mcvay . I also think mcvay has great input on the defensive game plan. I doubt he let's shula do whatever he wants. Our defense is always playing scared , too much soft zone and not aggressive enough , this happened with Morris too . Maybe it is the DCs ....but maybe it is just the way mcvay wants to be done and the DC's doesn't have a lot of power to change much . They can call their game of course , but as long as it embraces that strategy .

I added some:

Will McVay give up playcalling in the RED ZONE?

Will the Rams ever stop playing soft coverage against the dink and dunk Whiners?

Will McVay ever play Offensive skill position rookies, injuries not withstanding? (i. e. Nacua)

I don't know. I think our D has been pretty good on balance. Very Good vs the run for a change. I think it's a glaring issue that our secondary sucks. Just not real talent there.good teams with good QBs will exploit. But I think Shula still has a little rope left from me at least. He's led this D to be >Morris D of the past.

and to ignore it in last year's draft was wrong....this shit catches up with you. hell look at the draft picks from last year. Ferguson wasn't active again and Hunter didn't sniff the field. 2 of your top 3 picks have zero impact on this team so far. you can't do that as an organization

It was a great catch...the defender had his hand on the ball and Ferguson shifted it from his right hand to left then used his right hand to grab the defenders wrist and throw his arm away...it was a thing of beauty

Blackburn and Kyren need to be held accountable.
4 blocked kicks in 3 games and 7 fumbles since 2023 thats the most of all RBs in rhe league some in key moments both unacceptable.

As much as fans want to blame McVay its not his fault 11 players couldn't get a yard, a rb fumbling the ball on the one yard line, players dropping easy passes that were perfectly on target.

I am sure McVay stressed endlessly about the FG operation and ball security with Kyren neither got better.

The 9er offense was missing key players including their QB. Instead of putting pressure on Jones who himself was not 100% we gave him everything he wanted underneath so he could build confidence in a comfortable pocket and begin to pick us apart. Why the hell as a DC would you do that...answer because you are passive and soft which is how the defense played in the first half. With all the offensive pieces missing on the 9ers you would think the DC would be confident to dial the pressure up to max, Shula did just the opposite...he looked dazed and confused in the 1st quarter. The verdict is in he is a bust as a DC!

I am about to give up on shula. Let's see what he does for the next games. Jury is out but it is not looking good for him as of now.

The focus is on McVay because his play calling has been horrendous this year, In my section we sit and predict plays and have been pretty successful, so what do you think the opposing teams are doing? Obviously not all the blame goes out to him, but he refuses to call out the players for poor play, you can still have the family thing going, but if you don't call out your players and coaches occasionally there is no accountability IMO. You don't need to say they sucked, but something like we need Williams to work on his fumbling, the special teams hurt us and needs improvement oh and Hey it would be nice to see our defensive backs look for the ball instead of just watching the players face.

I think coaches are taking the wkend to put everything in perspective. I also guarantee you Snead is involved. I’m sure lots of calls and demands for changes by the exec’s.

Again, McVay and Co never let anything out of that bag until they have to.

And by next wkend, if we don’t see some changes or players being held accountable… maybe we just don’t have better guys to stick in the spots?.

But now I’m w you on this. We did the same damn thing this last game just about. BUT we did deactivate Limmer and finally played Fergie… and both those moves proved positive.

I’m hoping we pull up the beast RB from the PS for one. We just need a bigger back for short yardage situations.. no more ping pong ball little guys bouncing off the big guys.

I was happy about Limmer getting deactivated, but the problems are bigger then just Limmer, alot more moves needs to be done, starting with Chase. Special Teams are costing the rams games. Why is he still here? Fine if you want Chase to stay, get him a proven assistant to help. He needs it, trust me.

Using Ferg was nice, but was that just bc Higbee was injured? I do not want Ferg deactivated again, just so Higbee can play. We will see, but unfortunately I expect to see alot more Higbee while Ferg is deactivated or sits the bench. That is disappointing. I get that Ferg isn't the best blocker but that is what Park is for.

Where is the rookie rb? He needs to get some carries. Maybe just maybe he won't fumble or drop easy catches. Personally I have completely soured on the run game, and any play involving the backs bc bad things keep happening when the backs are involved. Give me McMartz, Im sorry, I trust the ball in Stafford hands when he isn't throwing, tossing or handing off to KW or Corum. Again where is the rookie? Did CJ Anderson retire?

Les you got to get on that phone, this team needs DB help. Why is DWill still on the team? He cant tackle, he doesn't make big plays anymore and now he looks 2 steps too slow. Last year he was a half of step too slow, he has gotten worse. At least Forbs and Cobie can further develop, D Will is up in age and it is showing on the field.

Please put Reeder third on depth chart. Just knowing the Defense shouldn't be enough to get you on the field. If you like him on ST fine, keep him there.

RT needs to be fixed. Mclendon or a unhealthy Hav arent it. There are two other tackles on the roster. You kept them, try out Quess or Humphries.
