Who do you want to see replace Speights if he can’t go week 6? I’ve seen what Reeder can and can’t do so I want to see the Rams give Dolac a chance given he doesn’t miss tackles and is better than Reeder defending the pass but my concern is Reeder will see the field given his experience.

And this is a blow to our Run Defense. I'm loving the play of Landman, but I agree that Reeder, due to his experience, is most likely going to take that other spot.

I totally agree, and I have a feeling that this kid will be a stud....better than Landman even. However, as we all know, we will instead see the horrible Troy Reeder who makes tackles 8 yards downfield and is always 2 steps behind in coverage.

. McVay has left it open, so I'm really hoping Dolac gets a chance.

I have a bad feeling they roll with Reeder. Sucks. I hope they at LEAST split time.

We know what Reeder brings (missed tackles, can’t cover the pass) so put Dolac in as I think he will surprise/shine in a good way. I don’t care where he played college ball, Dolac is a tackling machine so give him his shot.

i'm confident that once again, McVay will make a stupid personnel decision and go with Reeder, many people have expressed that Dolac is a football savant, so the whole rookie experience thing is bullshit
Linebacker is a position where rookies tend to do pretty well. McVay started Ernest Jones and rookie Omar Speights, so it would be a stupid excuse that Dolac is a rookie, which is why I expect that exact excuse.
To me, Landman and Dolac we're going to wind up as the starters eventually, just a hunch.

Its not Mcvay call. If Shula says Dolac is the best option, Dolac will start. Same way it was Shula who said why Reeder made the roster. Mcvay allows his DC to make those roster calls.

“In last week’s 49er loss, Reeder was in for two plays, on one of which he was beaten for a touchdown pass.”

Like Shula said he is very smart guy and knows the defense.
Personally I agree, Reeder is smart and does know the defense. Reeder smarts allows him to always be in position to make the play, the problem is he doesnt. He doesnt have enough talent.
I still remember the SB year vs Tampa in the playoffs. Reeder was in the perfect position to make the play, he sniffed it out, and was in perfect position to make the game saving tackle and he still missed. Tampa ended up tying the game.

I said that, but Mcvay allows his DC to make those calls. He isnt a control freak when it comes to the defense. Which is why late last season and early this season, I was giving Shula all the kudos for how well the D is doing bc it is pretty much his show.
On offense, I give Mcvay the kudos and blame for whatever happens on offense bc he is a total control freak, like all the other Head Coaches with a OC background. The Rams OC gets a pass pretty much either way imo. Not to say the OC doesnt play a major role, just saying that Mcvay makes the final say on offense.
Defense is different, Mcvay allows his DC to run the show, so I give the DC credit or blame for what happens on D.
Same with Special Teams, that's why Chase imo needs the boot.
With all that said, if the offense, defense or special teams fail, it all ultimately falls on Mcvay. Rightfully so. Im just pointing out that more likely Mcvay will allow Shula to make the call, whether or not Reeder starts.

we know, Shula makes the game calls, but I doubt he has exclusives on significant personnel matters, I'm sure there's a group dynamic and I'm sure McVay ways in. There's no way there's two guys that think Reeder is great.
