This is ridiculous .. 55 targets and just *26* receptions .. he and Staff have to get their shit together. This is partly what's killing the offense. Can't have one of your top 2 receivers under hauling in less than half his targets.
In contrast Nacua has been targeted 65 times and brought in 54 of them, that's a ridiculous 83%
Get Adams some stick um for those gloves, or maybe take the damn gloves OFF

Better to find someone who can help Adams reel in some passes, rather than making childish posts about a legitimate concern

He hasn't been great.. at this stage i prefer they get Tutu and Whittington more into the game.
TE and RB also.

IMO Adams doesn't rank as a legitimate concern. 26 catches for almost 400 yards and 3 TD's is fine so far. I think he'll start to heat up more as the season goes on.

Adams is not a major concern………
One has to put into the equation of coverage when giving targets to receptions……..

I'd have to agree with the OP. There have been a few times when Stafford has thrown high balls that are just completely out of reach but Adams is dropping a lot more passes than I can ever remember. Something needs to be corrected. The way Puka plays you know he's going to miss some time this year ( he does every year ), so Adams needs to step his game up and start playing like he was paid to play.

Adams throughout his career has had moments of "dropsies". It's fairly documented.
I agree he's dropped far too many this year. But he's getting open, a lot. For as much drops as he has, Stafford has missed him quite a bit this year.

They did work in Whit and Higs into todays game plan. I think Whit had his most targets and catches ever in a regular season game.
And Higs had 4 catch's for 40 yards and a TD. So The OC gets credit for getting them involved this week..
As for Adams. imo, he's part of the reason Puka has the success he does. Adams usually draws CB 1 and S help because he's more likely to take it to the house. Puka's more of a possession receiver. Success rates are higher on the shorter passes for both the QB and the Receiver.

at least 50% of Adam's problems are on Stafford, horrible connection between the two at this point, they need to get in sync

While we are on the subject, they are calling that Whittington play a drop? He was running wide open and Staff made a bad pass.

True , he is dropping some but stafford is also missing him and some of the throws that he dropped were not exactly easy catches.

geez guys come off the ledge. Adams is fine every player has a bad game.....he still is a solid WR that will continue to get targets. Let's remember not all of the passes were perfect yesterday

I didnt realize that. Thanks for the info. I never seen the guy drop passes against the rams and heard all the hype. I didn't realize his hands been questionable at times.
The good news is his route running is still top notch and he still has good speed. The bad news is his hands and his chemistry with Stafford.
With that said, imo they are both fixable with time. Hopefully sooner rather than later.

I have to agree. To me I was expecting Devante to walk right in and be super solid a better Kupp who can extend the field and catch everything. I was super pissed on the easy catch on the deep over yesterday he dropped that was a must catch.

Part of the Adams challenge was a lack of practice between Stafford and Adams during TC.
By week 10, the two will be on the same page and ready for Playoff domination; they need to stay healthy.

Right now i would say that Adams is a bust FA signing.. I know a lot will disagree but to me he is nothing special especially at that price.

He does take some pressure off Puka...that def helps. But He def lost a step. I would not call him a bust. Let's see if he steps things up- especially this week with Puka out. Hopefully we have Tutu back. And we gotta get our new TE involved.

Way too early to say. Plus he's not the only Ram f***** up right now.
Plus when we get in the playoffs, his experience will be invaluable.
Yes things can change which is why i said right now.... for what we paid, we should really be expecting a lot more.
Usually I am positive about Rams players but this one kind of stinks for me because of the expectations and the salary.

Good point on Adams taking heat off Nacua. In addition to Whittington, Mumfield got his first catch. They also tried to get Ferguson involved which I'd like to see more of. TuTu should be back and it would be great if he had a career game soon.

I think the chemistry will continue to get better and his numbers are even OK right now. Stafford even said to him after game 1 on a hot mic that "we will only get better". He said that to Adams after the Houston or TN game. It may take some time but I'm not worried at all. If he blows up against Jax this thread will go silent (and vice versa).

Success rates may be higher, that is still no excuse for one of your top 2 receivers to have a catch rate of 47%. A guy paid $20+million to CATCH the football, should have a success rate considerably higher than Adams is showing. While we're at it, Adams 69 YAC, our POSSESSION receiver 222. Seems like one guy is overachieving and another is settling

On the positive side, we're 4-2 and most of the team hasn't got it going yet.. Won't deny the drops are troubling cause they are.
Staff and Puka perhaps are getting it going and the D front 7 but that's about it. And we're 2 plays from 6-0.
A s much as I'd like to see them win by 4 TD's every week and go 20-0 all the way to the SB, it just ain't going to happen.
There will be setbacks, the other teams trying to do to us what we are to them. Overcoming when it counts is what makes Champions.
I think we're in good shape bro and Adams will click with Matt and then watch out!

Adams is pacing 1046 yards and 14 TDs.
He's doing what Woods and Cooks did for us but more TDs due to his redzone abilities.

Adams is doing fine. My biggest issue with him the first 5 weeks was it seemed at times Stafford was trying to force the ball to him. Once they get used to each other they'll just begin to play and not think. Yesterday was a sign of that happening...
If you want to talk about someone talk about Tutu. I have no idea why he's on the field. Stafford completed passes to 10 different targets yesterday and Tutu wasn't one of them. Not even targeted once. Some folks went crazy when he had his one big catch of the season. He'll be lucky to get another. Total waste of money\roster spot...

Tut hasn't played the last 2 weeks due to injury.
