Falcon's Draft Pick Watch

After week 7 we would pick 14 or 15 because the Vikes are also 3-3. Realistically we could end up in the 11-13 range.

I was pulling for the Falcons because I hate the Niners and it was pretty frustrating. They have some talent to win games but overall they blow. I just hope Kirk Cousins doesn't come in and win a bunch of games.

That said, they have a top 10 D and Penix looks serviceable and seems to be getting better. They have good pieces on offense. Unfortunately, they will end up being a .500 team.

Expecting a mid 1st rounder from them.
Bijian Robinson is amazing but Penix is regressing and inconsistent. He only has 5 TD's to 3 INT with an 85 QB rating. Now that he's banged up he could look worse or give way to Cousins. I agree that they are a .500 team but with some luck they could tank more. They've got some tough games coming up and even the Panthers aren't a pushover anymore.

All so true, but I thought the Bills game would be a loss too. That game was a killer. Cost us about 2 pick slots.

Hopefully the Rams just take BPA with both their picks. Bundling both picks isn’t going to move them high enough to get a QB.

You can find starting CB/OT with those picks in 2026

If they see a QB they love, they have the ammo to move up. They did so with Goff, they could do it now. If they could package two 1s for this draft, and one the following year they could probably move up as far as they want. Need to get that next ten year cornerstone at QB. Just gotta be someone they love.

If you look at the draft order now, a few teams picking before them could gel, get healthy, or heat up and string some wins together. Specifically, I'm looking at the Giants with Dart, the Ravens getting Jackson back, Cincy when Burrow comes back. Also, I think Washington and Dallas will end up picking after ATL when it's all said and done. Naturally, Atlanta has to continue to be unimpressive.

The way Stafford is playing I'd be really tempted to even trade down with one of our 1st's and add a 2nd and 3rd. Could you imagine 4 picks in the first 2 rounds or 6 picks in the first 3 rounds? That's a lot of young talent. What if Bennett is our future QB?

That would be ideal if Bennett became that guy

Then things are rather bleak given that he’s turning 28 and shown zero in the league.

Assume Stafford plays in 2026, and you let Bennett start in 2027. Who at 30 years old in the NFL made their first career start and was any good?

If the Rams believed in Bennett they’d have never signed Garappolo

Any way you slice it wecare in a great position. I look at it as a free pick we do not many upgrades maybe at C, CB, and possibly Tackle but thats it. QB depends on Staffords health and a QB worth it in the draft.

🔮🪄🧙🏻 (I see the following after viewing my ball)

Fins - W
@ Pats - L
@ Colts - L
Panthers - L (but total toss up game imo)
@ Saints - W
@ Jets - W
Hawks - L
@ Bucs L
@ Cards - W (another toss up)
RAMS - L
Saints - W

Final Record: 8-9 / 9-8.

Which means they will be a 11-16 1st round pic...

What say you?

🤷🏼‍♂️

This team absolutely needs a RT and cornerback. Those are premium positions given the ages of the guys we currently have.

Probdbly Center too since Shelton/Limmer aren’t good

there isn't a college QB IMO that has shown they deserve to be picked with our 1st pick, ATL's, so go in a different direction and make this team better by drafting guys who can make an impact next year. IMO they should address the OL and CB group first and go from there. I don't want to see anymore BS picks of high pick guys sitting on the bench because McVay doesn't feel comfortable playing them.

Decent mock that addresses the areas we all seem to agree needs to be addressed.

Falcons currently at #12 (mock). I'd love to see the wheels come off and get into the top 10. Technically only 8 teams have fewer wins but there is a massive group of 3-win teams. ATL has some easy games coming up (NO x2, NYJ, AZ) but now CAR looks like a tough out.

Thanks Colts. The Dolphins got to 3 wins to tie ATL and HOU won to pass them with 4. Unfortunately the Falcons SOS is pretty high so they pick lower than other teams with the same record.

Falcons did us well with Morris's AWFUL clock management... Moved us up to slot 10 from 12.

Thank you, Morris.

Loving it - hopefully they'll fall into the top 5. I'm rooting for every team in front of them to win so they drop down...

No with that said I'm not liking the QB class coming out. I would have no issues with trading away the Falcons pick next year for a 2027 #1 pick if it's to the right team (otherwise don't trade with a team that is going to make the playoffs)...

I agree, this next QB class is really nothing special.

I think there's a few, that given a year with Stafford could be good. Both the Oregon and Alabama QBs look like NFL QBs, and if there, I would not be opposed to Manning, assuming he has a year under Staff, and Mcvay.

I think there are NFL QBs in every draft , where they go determines their fate. See Mac Jones, Sam Darnold, Baker Mayfield, Daniel Jones as good examples.

And who knows. We dont see what Vennett is doing behind the scenes. Maybe they see something in his progression?

Even though Atlanta keeps losing they are still hovering around 10-12. I think the Skins #8 and Bengals #9 can win some games when they get their QB's back. Maybe even the Giants and Dolphins can get some wins together but the top 5 is hopeless. AZ and Dallas need to keep winning the odd game here and there too.

QB's always rise in the offseason especially right before the draft. Teams will start making excuses for the QB's like "he had a new coaching staff" or "a lot of talent left for the NFL the year before" or "he played behind a horrible OL". It's way early but I still think as many as 4-5 QB's could go in the 1st round.

Rams might be in 1st place in the NFC after today, and is still in the race for a top 5 overall pick.

Good week to be a Rams fan

The Falcon's were ahead most of the game and I thought they won because I stopped looking when the Rams came on. That's two brutal last second losses in a row for Atlanta. Now that Penix is out they could continue to sink. I was a little worried this would happen and Cousins would look good but he didn't.

We are currently at #8.

Falcons may have lost penis and London for awhile. Team is done. Pick no worse than 17. Likely top 10.

Update: penix looks done for year.

I live in Atlanta and I can tell you right now, the Falcons will not win more than 6 games if not 5. That team is trash and I doubt if Raheem Morris makes it past today (Monday) after that brutal loss to the Panthers. Rams will get a top 5 pick out of that trade. ...I just pray if Shula leaves, we do NOT bring Raheem Morris and his atrocious soft shell defensive scheme back to the Rams!!
