What a terrible trade..the Colts GM is a dumb ass..to give up that much draft capital on Gardner.DelMar wrote: ↑November 4th, 2025, 11:07 am Holy Crap... look at this trade... Wow... 2 first rounders for Sauce...
The Indianapolis Colts are trading TWO FIRST-ROUND draft picks in 2026 and 2027 to the New York Jets for star cornerback Sauce Gardner, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter, a massive deal ahead of Tuesday's NFL trade deadline.
Gardner had just signed a four-year, $120.4 million extension this offseason with New York. The Jets also acquired wide receiver Adonai Mitchell in the deal.
Just crazy... such a bad teams way of thinking imo... Colts will be the Colts I guess, but I just dont see it w this trade. Not only do they give up two first rounders, they take over this insane contract... Won't the $$$ play a part? I would assume maybe Jets are eating most of the $$ to get 2 1st rounders? How does that work? He was just extended.NorCal RF wrote: ↑November 4th, 2025, 11:17 amJets committed grand theft if they get the two picks correct…………..DelMar wrote: ↑November 4th, 2025, 11:07 am Holy Crap... look at this trade... You MAYBE give up that trade collateral if Gardner gets you to the SB. I stress maybe. Does anyone think he will? Does anyone take Jones in January over Allen etc………..
I’m not sure if the Jets are picking up……….. Cornell?
All for a guy who doesn't tackle, gets too many penalties and hardly any INT..other than that what's not to like.DelMar wrote: ↑November 4th, 2025, 11:17 amJust crazy... such a bad teams way of thinking imo... Regarding this it still comes down to stopping their run game and getting to Darnell. Nothing has changed…………..DelMar wrote: ↑November 4th, 2025, 10:58 am The Seattle Seahawks are acquiring wide receiver and 2023 All-Pro Rashid Shaheed from the New Orleans Saints for a 2026 fourth- and fifth-round pick, per ESPN. Shaheed, who also returns punts and kicks, has totaled 44 receptions for 499 yards and two touchdowns this season.
In June, the Jets signed Gardner to a four-year extension with a new-money average of $30.1 million per year. It made him the highest-paid player at his position, by $100,000 annually.
