Put this in the pre game thread, but wanted to start its own thread on this, because it's just nuts how close we are to each other in stats/rankings...

whats your thoughts?

Defense Stats:

Total Defense: Rams rank 10th. Hawks Rank 11th.

Pass Defense: Rams rank 13th, Hawks Rank 19th. (If our OL holds well, Stafford should have a solid outing)

Run Defense: Hawks Rank a solid #2, while the Rams are ranked 11th. (Att: OL, Williams and Corum  )

Scoring Defense: Rams rank #2. Hawks Rank 5th.

Red Zone Defense: Rams Rankd #2. Hawks Rank 9th.

Third Down Defense: Rams Rank another solid #2, while the Hawks come in at 12th.

Offense Stats:

Total Offense: Rams 7th, Hawks 9th.

Passing Offense: Rams #1, Hawks 4th.

Rushing Offense: Rams 18th, Hawks 22nd.

Scoring Offense: Hawks 5th, Rams tied with Chiefs @ 8th.

Red Zone Offense: Hawks 3rd, Rams 13th.

Third Down Offense: Rams tied w Commanders @ 14th, Hawks come in at 20th.

Couple things in here, show advantages... how does each team react to the other?. Going to be a hell of game...

Some of those should come with caveats.

First off, the Hawks RB's the past two seasons have been nothing special. Charbonnet has been nothing special in his entire career. With our upgraded run D, they don't bother me

Rams O, passing O and RZ O should all be graded simply on the numbers since we've switch primarily to 13 personnel, which I would argue, would place us MUCH higher in the rankings than we are currently.

Staff has THREE straight games of 4 or more TD passes with ZERO picks, that's 28 points alone per game

Jags Staff 182/5 RZ 4-4
Saints Staff 281/4 RZ 4-5
9'ers Staff 280/4 RZ 5/6

Total 743/13 (0 INT) 13-15 RZ

I beg to differ in that I think those totals would place use higher, perhaps in all but yardage, but I'll take 13 TD's with ZERO picks over 350 yards a game ALL day long and 87% RZ is more than elite

Not saying it's a cakewalk .. but I like some of the matchups well enough. Our run D against their RB's and Darnold is having a very good year, but he is subject to turnovers as he showed last week. At the end of the day. Staff is having a better year, especially in the last few games, Our OL is rounding into form

Time for our vaunted pass rush to stand up. We need multiple sacks and turnovers.

Protect Staffor and Thrive!

Go Rams!

Looks like Stafford is the Top 4th Quarter QB too. You can make out a Ram Helmet in the mostly covered next picture...

Wow- this is truly gonna be a decisive battle for maybe the best team in the NFC. Mistakes- we gotta limit. No turnovers. We won that battle last week which is why we beat the niners at their home field. This one should be good.
