Thicker Kicker cannot be sent down anymore. He has to stay on active roster.

Higbee. Hav, McCreary and Q went to IR

Spoon, TuTu, and DK are now on active roster

Leaving 1 spot to keep Thicker Kicker on active without having to cut Karty.

Thanks to the Rams initially having 4 tight ends on active roster and still having 2 tackle backups in Quess and Humphries. Rams didnt need to add anyone from practice squad to active roster, just yet for Higs or Hav.

On game day the rams can bring up one of their tight ends from practice squad for 4 games before having to worry about adding him to the 53 man roster.

Chase and Mcvay wants more time to evaluate.

Man , what is there to evaluate ? Mevis is 15 for 15 with a 52 yarder that would be good for 60 right in the middle with the defender in his face ! Karty misses that kick 10 out of 10 times that he tries.

People were in his face almost blocking the kick and he still kicked with confidence and he is unfazed .

WHY are they keeping KArty ? Just CUT him already , jeesus

Trying to see how Mevis performs in a high pressure situation, I guess. Karty has a confidence issue, which is fixable in most cases.

Karty made those last year. With that said, no harm keeping both until Chase and Mcvay knows for sure. They have to get the kicking game right, despite the cost of using 2 spots. If Mevis knock in a game winning kick, imo thats when Mcvay will move on from Karty. But right now, he hasn't seen him in a high pressure situation

If they can keep both fine. If one has to go well it’s been nice Karty……….

Karty was a perfect 9 for 9 in the playoffs last year and even had some perfect games this year. You really have no accurate comparison until you see Mevis with the old LS that got cut. I'm willing to trust McVay and roll with Mevis but I'd like to see Karty clear waivers and make it to the PS and keep the heat on Mevis.

I like the idea of keeping him in the PS so MEvis can keep working hard. But I do think that some kicks were missed or blocked this year because of KArty himself and not the LS or the O-line not blocking. He was just taking too long to start the kick .
