The reaction to PI last night…

Did anyone else find it extra strange that there was seemingly NO REACTION to the blatant pass interference on Atwell at the end of the game? Where was the emotion? Where was the anger? Why weren’t the players and coaches freaking out on camera?

Granted, the Rams killed themselves in the first half and Humphries undercut any chance of offensive rhythm throughout the game, and the defense has glaring weaknesses, but that non-call was very wrong and should have resulted in overtime at least.

And McVay should have gotten those three points in the first quarter, esp on the road, instead of going for it on 4th down.

Losing 3 out of 5 blows chunks, but displaying total defeat by not even reacting to that blatant non-call makes it so much worse. Shit, maybe the tv show just didn’t show any reactions because of the past two weeks of public issues with the Rams and the officials…

Yup. this is payback for Puka. these refs were not good last night. That would have tied the game. Minimum. And it was blatant PI.

Their reaction was the same as mine; We really shit the bed and don't really deserve to win this game.
I didn't scream about it. If they called it we probably would have kicked the field goal to tie the game and take our chances in overtime but I wasn't feeling confident at all and you hate to let the refs decide games like this.

They did shit the bed, but since the PI was blatant, I would say that the refs did decide the game by not calling it.

It was a badly missed call. I knew it when Tutu tried catching it with one hand instead of two.

Did not understand not taking the points .. even wondered if it was a pissing contest between McV and Morris, or even an extension of the ST struggles from earlier in the year

Their reaction should NOT be the same as yours .. if they have NO fight, get them the fuck OFF this team and out of town. They are being literally PAID to give a shit, you and I are not. If they can't muster the ability to honor the millions they are being paid, I don't want them on this team

Very likely. It is Bullshit and they should be punished, but we know they won't be and it shows why players should keep their mouths SHUT when it comes to officials. That's like one of us running our mouths about the person deciding on whether we get a bonus and how much the bonus will be

Wouldn’t it have been amazing if Atwell would have given a WTF gesture to the ref? He should have done that immediately, as most receivers would, even when it’s not blatant, but we’ve never really seen Atwell act out that way. I can’t help but wonder if he’s just numb from the WTF way he’s been used this season. That’s not an excuse, I know, for someone who’s made over a million bucks per catch this year.

If i was Atwell, I would tell McVay to go fuck himself and sign with the Niners.

I didn’t have an issue with that.

The refs rarely call that anyway. It hit him in the hands. He could have caught it. He pushed off first so there’s no way the Rams were gonna get that call on a Hail Mary.

What’s interesting is that if he had caught that ball, the time probably runs out because I doubt the Rams could have even gotten up to the line to spike it after the refs mark it for play.

It’s really a ball Stafford should not have thrown.

Falcons played pretty good all night but they did their best to give the game back. The Verse FG Ret TD was 10 point swing, and then losing Xavier Smith on a ball that’s probably a TD if Stafford put it on him were really bad plays

I don’t think that Atwell’s initial contact was anything, certainly far from the defender hooking his arm.

The Smith miss was brutal. It seems like Stanford expected him to head toward the sideline, but Smith went downfield instead. These kinds of miscommunications have been kind of a theme this year.

Very true. They did call it out in the booth. It was brief though. Maybe if there was more visible outrage coming from the Rams, they would have pushed the issue longer.

I think Atwell was shocked he was on the field let alone targeted on a route.

two years ago that ball goes to Kupp and is most likely a 1st down call or no

Problem with the non call was the placement of the ref. The Ram lineman whose helmet was ripped off was different there were a bunch of refs around the play yet they refused to call it total bullshit.

Also Tutu should have made a HUGE stink it appeared on the live broadcast Tutu was ho hum it was just a good play against him. He could have influenced a call, but he didn't.
