For all flack he gets .. 6th in the NFL with 1,252 yards at 4.8a carry, 10 TDS, and third in first downs, 10 off the lead, with a few carries less than those above him
Corum was solid .. 100+ fewer carries but 746 yards at 5.1 a pop with 6 TDs and 44 first downs, zero fumbles
Damn near 2,000 yards at 4.9 a pop and NEITHER are breakaway guys .. really just lunch pailers piling it up in smaller chunks. We could REALLY use a Gibbs type as secondary runner to either one of those guys, especially if we could improve the line

Corum has a better burst but was hoping that Hunter would be that for us - but he is unlikely to see the field this season

Kyren fixed the fumbling issue but he isn't as good as a short yardage back as in previous years. It could be bc he is prioritizing ball security when in pileups, rather then moving the pile, which is fine with me.
Overall I'm pleased with KW and Corum is a good contrast with his burst.

That third and very long run by Williams Sunday was so beautiful.

don't you think KW is due to break a big run/ TD. You can see his frustration when he is on the verge for a big play. Fumble fix is great for KW and Corum. As Cornell noted his short run effort may be reduced due to ball protection. Good post.

I kind of like Corum lately, seems to be more dynamic hitting the hole
Williams kept hesitating before hitting the line yesterday, could have been because there was no seam or hole to hit
Just don’t fumble

I went from disliking KW his rookie year to appreciating what he brings.
His game is very nuanced, it's boring, but effective. He doesn't have great speed, power or agility. But he is a consistent north/south runner with good vision and gets skinny and low. Rarely does KW lose yards on a run. He doesn't break big ones but he gets chunk yards with the best of them. Sort of like a poor mans Frank Gore. Plus he is good in the pass game and a great pass blocker. It's clear why he got paid. He's a complete back.

He doesn't have the burst or the pop. He will get run down by most safeties/CB's .. and probably a few LB's. I don't see him as a 50 yard guy, just can't pick 'em up and put 'em down quick enough

You can see it, the last few weeks some .. he seems to get better later in the game, when everyone is worn down a bit.
He'll start 6-19, 7-23, and mid 4th he'll be 16-85, 20-92 or better .. the power he does have works better when the D is softened up

I’m a KW fan. His overall skills are a blessing. He does seem to stumble after going like 15 yards though. Did you notice on the Hutchinson near pick six that Parkinson outran Williams?

Kyren is a perfect example as to why many of you should be patient with Ferguson. Kyren rushed for a grand total of 139 yards his rookie season. Now hes one of the most solid backs in the league. I think in 2 years we're going to be saying the same thing about Fergie as a TE.

Why do people keep harping on how slow kyren is? So what. If he's putting up numbers similar to the 'speed guys' then what does it matter?

I am a big fan of KW I have no idea why people still keep giving him low grades. Just look at his production
