Rams @ Bears Pre Game Thread.

The Rams will be on the road once again in the divisional round, visiting the Chicago Bears next weekend. As the No. 5 seed in the NFC, they knew they would have to be road warriors in the playoffs, but that's never scared them before.
No matter where or when the Rams play, they're capable of beating any opponent. The odds reflect that, because Los Angeles opened as a 4.5-point favorite against the Bears next weekend, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. The over/under is set at 50.5 points.
Spread: Rams -4.5 (-104) | Bears +4.5 (-118)
Over/under: 50.5 (O: -115| U: -105)
Moneyline: Rams -190 | Bears +160
This line is vastly different than their opening game against the Carolina Panthers when they were 10.5-point favorites on the road, but the Bears are a much better team and Chicago is a tough place to play.
Game time
Sunday, Jan. 18
NFC: (5) Los Angeles Rams at (2) Chicago Bears, 3 p.m. or 6:30 p.m. ET (Network TBD)

The Bears had trouble pressuring Love. Our O line is better than GBs. Stafford could have a good day.

Don't you see the stars are aligning. The NFC playoff seeding is all we can ask for. The only wild card is what Rams team is going to show up on game day. If we can get past the bears, the Rams will beat either Seattle or 49ers. I can't comment on AFC. One game at a time.

Man, that is just stupid. Not sure how you attend a game that cold. Maybe the fans will be a little less vocal. ;-)

Caleb Williams is a young gunslinger type and goes off script a lot. That needs to equal turnovers for our defense.

That is my concern. We are not very good at defending “on script” QBs/Receivers. :-)

National media all over the total disgrace that is known as the Rams Defense - Carolina had their way for the 2nd time with the Rams D - 31 ppg - with WR running wide open again and again - and I do not see that changing facing the Bears in bad weather. Only hope until we Draft/ Sign legit back 7 defenders is to ask our MVP to out score everyone we face.

Rams have to be good at what they do well……….
Move the chains on Offense against a subpar defense. Stafford has to take what their D gives them. I thought he got away from that against Carolina and checked off the 6-7 yard completions and was trying to go deep too much. Until the last drive and he was great taking what they gave him……………
Continue to not kick into the end zone on kickoffs. They have been better lately…………
Contain their run. Another very good 2 back offense that we have done well against most of this year………..
And you have to make Williams one dimensional. He can’t have a big game running the ball…………
The rest we know in regards to no TO’s etc…………
You just hope like hell Williams has that off game like he has at times throwing the ball. If he doesn’t…………
They have to play in the weather just like us. We have a roster of quite a few players who have played in cold weather. No excuses. It is not where we play but how we play………………..

Agree all around - almost as if the Rams O hits on all cylinders and has a decided TOP advantage to minimize our D involvement - sounds a bit convoluted but it can work. This QB is different - he thrives in the unscripted aspects of a game - and he has done it repeatedly.

Bears. Panthers, Jags, Pats all finished last in their Divisions last year and won them this year. 50% turnaround league wide.
They were a combined 18-50 in 2024 and this year they are 46-22. That's 28 games better or 7 games per team on Avg.
We almost had the 9ers included as team 5 but they lost the big game for the division to the Hags, but still went 12-5.
Last Place to playoffs, 5 teams... 3 remain after WC weekend.
Keep an eye on the Cards, Browns, Giants, Titans, Saints Raiders, Lions and Jets next year?

Rams recipe for being undefeated this year
Stafford plays like the MVP he is and the offense does not have horrible turnovers / momentum shifts / bad coaching not taking points
and special teams has no catastrophic failures
thats all we have to do, not crap the bed

The other teams trying to win too bro. We don't go out there and make mistakes just because we got nothing better to do.
The Opposition get probably most of the credit for most of those 'Horrible TO's/Mo swings because they made plays and we didn't.
As for the bad coaching... What about the times those same decisions worked and we got 7 instead of Punting or taking the FG that might have missed or got blocked? You're OK with it when it works?
They're not going to go 20-0 and win every game by 5 TD's. That's the expectations it appears from some, like those who dwell on the negative, way more then need be. To the point of actually mapping out a path to victory for the other team....
AFAIC, the Positives far outweigh the Negatives. We've had a good season bordering on Great. We'll see if we get there.. The Offense has IMO!
Bottom line is we're 13-5 this year and 1 win away from the NFC Ship Game Again, and 4.5 favorites to get there.
LETS GO YOU RAMS!

Might be the coldest game in Rams history. The 2021 playoff game in Green Bay was 35 degrees.
Right now looks like 14 high and 10 low.

Personally from watching a lot of the special teams mistakes and interceptions / fumbles were bad plays by us

Remind me again. If we beat Chicago, we go to the NFC Title game right? I know for a damn FACT tho, that if it wasn't for Special Teams blunders, we wouldn't have the record we do.

Special Teams is what scares me as well as the secondary, but, this secondary has shown they get better as the game progresses. I would like to see more blitzing, but we don't have the players in the secondary for that other than our Safeties.

if our special teams was normal and not disaster prone, we would have beat Philly and Seattle - record 14-3 (but same could be said if the offense did not disappear in those games we would have won even with the ST mistakes)
if our offense did not choke and disappear for stretches and we did not commit unusual game changing turnovers especially mostly from Stafford, we would have beat SF,Carolina, Atlanta and be 18-0

So there's tons of scenarios that could have happened. But I'm happy we're still alive. I think we can win in Chicago. But it's that damn CB situation that scares me.

the general consensus I am picking up is the Bear fans are absolutely frightened by the Rams. But they won't say so..
they are grasping at straws on why they will win, lot's of comments talking about dominating us, funny because not a single team through 18 games has dominated the Rams, even in the Rams most mistake prone 3 turnover offense giving a defensive score and special teams disaster filled games , our biggest loss is by 3 with the Rams in position to win.
Bears fans are bringing up a game from the 1980's as to why they will win.. i mean that is utter insanity
the weather, because we are in 2026 and pro athletes do not know how to play in cold weather apparently, and it only favors some of the players on the Bears
Apparently McVay and Stafford are just useless in cold weather / snow at the Bears.
their delusional and have no idea what is coming.
Chicago has given up over 50 points to Detroit and close to that much against SF and Bengals
Rams defense has max given up around 20-24 points (offenses driving on the defense in a game) and that happened in about half our games
