I am curious if Verse could play at ILB assuming we had an absolute stud to replace him on the edge. He seems to have better containment this year but not as much pressure. It seems as though moving him inside would get him more involved but I am not if sure if his skill set lends itself to that. Thoughts?

I think he's way too big and strong there. His bull rush is incredible. Knocks over 350 lb linemen. He just needs to hone his skills IMO. Wish he would keep working with AD on technique. Also not sure he's fast enough for ILB.

Verse us great if you watch him. His only problem is finishing things off, QBs always seem to get away from him. I agree that time with AD would help

Unique player - most shocking power of any NFL defender - and he has had a few snaps playing inside.

he is not an ILB. dude is a very good DE/OLB aka pass rusher. no need to put him anywhere else

He can't tackle. It's always been the knock on him, since he was coming out of the draft.

It is true - scouting reports from his college days noted a real issue sealing the deal by missing tackles. His wrap up is inconsistent & too high. Still an issue now.

Just watch him play. He whiffs on way too many tackles.

My eyes don't lie....he does struggle to finish plays.

Its kind of a bizarre trait that he can't finish after expending so much effort to get there.

Long time problem - but you would think it is a correctable problem through position coaching ?
