I am guessing they don't plan on starting him . It is depth and STs..... maybe even PS . Speights took his job last year and they never went back to him even after he recovered from the injury ..so I am not too concerned .

Matt Gay was a hero of our team's 2021 championship season, however he probably is performing at his peak right now, while Joshua Karty still is likely to improve with experience... 8-) :idea:

I would take him based on his first name "gunnar." Sort of in line with Johnny Utah. But can he block? If you cant/won't block McVay won't want you.

Helm, along with a few others is what makes this a solid TE draft. More than the top 2 are projected to have a good NFL careers. It is why IMO you do not trade up n give up draft capital to get a Warren or Loveland. They either fall to you or you wait till the 3rd or 4th round if you want a TE in ...

I have mixed feelings on this. No doubt Ramsey would shore up the secondary, but, I would prefer to move on to the future and develop our own lockdown corner.
Plus, the cap implications would be huge.
What are your thoughts?

Rams history reflects disregard for S and LB position but this player and what he could be in the Shula based D would be extraordinary. Helps S and LB positions as he would be sort of a Monster Back - Perhaps the best combine tests ever - with the play tape to match. Our current Rams FO just loves ...

I would go with either a #1 CB, preferably Trey Amos (Ole Miss), or ILB Carson Schwesinger (UCLA), both positions are critical for our team's "D" this year... :? ;) :geek:

Yeah, with the Giants. We wouldn't have gotten a 1st though.

More pressure is good, and Stewart looks strong, but other NFC West teams have also built up their edge pressure. If either of the Rams starting tackles go down, Stafford will be a sad panda.

That could definitely be in order. The more I watched the guy yesterday, the more I thought similarly as you. Just keep the big greasy guy in front of him and he's more than fine against the run.. that's the key IMO.

We nabbed two of them.

I am a huge fan of Atwell. He has great hands, doesn't complain (at least publicly), and does what is asked of him.

I think the partnership with McVay has definitely improved his skills.

Between he and Paul.. I hope and lean more toward think, that they finally have both ILB spots solved. With Paul seemingly able to cover in nickel and such to spell Speights and Landman. I think Paul will prove to be the real steal here though.
