There seems to be a love/hate vibe to our draft this year. But check out this draft:
Round 2 - Chris Paul - LB
Round 3 - Terrance Ferguson - TE
Round 4 - Ty Hamilton - DT
Round 5 - Josaiah Stewart - Edge
Round 6 - Jarquez Hunter - RB
Round 7 - Konata Mumpfield - WR
If THIS was how our draft turned out...knowing what we know now about these guys, their accolades, their speed and strength and desire, I think you guys would all be LOVING this draft (aside, of course, from the lack of CB investment ;) )
Some of you would have seen LB with our first pick and would love it - and that's BEFORE knowing what you now know about Paul. A stud RB in round 6? Sure, sign me up...better than round 4!
TE in round 3?...you mean we got the fastest TE in the draft? A very fluid and productive pass catcher from one of the best programs in college? OH YEAH, AWSOME PICK!
I think it's all a matter of perspective in some ways.

I'm not so excited about Mumpfield. Just added depth I guess. All other picks I was never excited at first, but they all look like they could really help our team. Cannot make any real judgements until we see them on the field.

Insert the Buffalo LB in that 7th rd and it even looks better.
