Kershaw to retire

Post by GoldenRam »

How long before Rangers or Astros offer him a contract?

If I were the Dodgers, I would revisit this in February, and maybe later in the season if their pitching is suspect

Would like to see him get his winning percentage to ACTUAL .700. He's at .696 now I think, which is essentially 70%, but would be nice to see the actual 7 up there. Unfortunately I think he would need 8 more wins with no losses at this point

I would be surprised if Kershaw plays again, especially if the Dodgers win the World Series. Plus this is the first time in awhile he's had a season with no foot, back or arm issues. I would be surprised he suits up in another uniform.
He had them early .. remember he didn't pitch until almost mid season

Just needed 1 more win. If the Dodgers hang on, for his 11th win, he will finish his career with a winning percentage of .69905, the highest of ALL pitchers with 200 or more wins since 1900, and his career ERA of 2.54 (or so) is the best of the live ball era since 1920.

Would have been nice to see him with a actual 7 at the front of his winning percentage, but he's essentially 70%
