Here is a bold statement Puka should make; I won't injure myself skate boarding during the off season. It's Puka not Puca right?

Nice Puka. Why not just paint a bigger target on your back? Or worse yet, on your knees.

Re: Puca Nacua Makes Bold Statement
I agree what he said shouldn't of been said. You never want to give your opponent locker room material. With that said I think what he said is spot on. Purdy isn't a bad player but he's not great. He is a QB that needs others to carry him to the promise land. I don't have him as a top 10 QB.
As it stands now the Whiners have 38 million in CAP space this year. They have 55 million in 2026. If you look at their CAP they have a lot of huge contract, contracts that they will have to honor because the CAP hit is massive. Aiyuk would be a 56 million CAP hit in 26. Bosa would be a 75 million CAP hit. 34 million for Williams. My point is if they give Purdy a 50 million contract after this year they won't have squat left over to spend on other players. They better hit on a lot of draft picks the next 2 years cause it's going to be rough for them in FA.
As a Ram fan I do hope Purdy does get a 50 million per year contract. He's hit his ceiling IMO. Please sign him Whiners. Please...

Re: Puca Nacua Makes Bold Statement
Bad form. I get it, he's young and tenacious... but between his playing in 3 on 3 basketball tournaments, dunking and hurting himself, now this... not good form. He will will learn in time...
The worst part is, if Purdy and niners come out next season and take us in both games, and Purdy puts up goddy numbers... this will absolutely come back to haunt Puka
What a boner. Sheeeeeesh... I bet the call from McVay went something like this...
"Hey, Puka, coach Sean here... so, I heard the segment and im not thrilled. You should know by now, we are a classy organization. We dont get in the weeds and talk trash like this. Ok man. You understand me? You know I care for you and excited for the coming season, as you are our #1 WR, but this chatter has to stop. Prove it on the field... and if Purdys kicks our asses this season, I will most definitely bring your name up in the locker room after the game. OK? Got it, we good man? Ok... great, Bye"

He's 100% allowed to say it. He can also tell his neighbor that his wife is ugly as sin and he was crazy to marry her. Neither will most likely end up too good for him.

Maybe look at the point i was responding to... Stafford absolutely did not think about the team first when he ran his mouth and his wife less so.. I love the guy but it is what it is and he is perfectly entitled to have a voice as is Puka !!BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑April 18th, 2025, 11:58 amAnd the same schmuck with the second stupidest Post. Did Stafford and his wife talk about opposing teams? Who IS this loser?
And your fan boy post backing up the bullyboy is exactly what i mean about freedom of speech in America and the need to conform or be harassed !!
Fundamentally I am against shutting down anyone who has an opinion unlike yourself and the other person. Sorry that upsets you !

Re: Puca Nacua Makes Bold Statement
I'm thinking back to the time period from the second Rams-49ers matchup of 1990 through the second one of the '98 season.
The 49ers won seventeen straight games vs. our team during that span, much of the time being openly contemptuous of the Good Guys, including that 'Same Old Sorry-Ass Rams' putdown, yet our team apparently never felt inspired to demonstate that the contempt was unjustified when facing the 49ers on the football field. (The Good Guys even managed to lose to a 49ers team quarterbacked by Jim Druckenmiller.)
While I don't agree with Puka Nacua's making those comments about the 49ers, I do pretty much agree with their content, and I'm highly doubtful that 'bulletin-board material' is seriously going to influence future Rams-49ers contests. If our team outperforms theirs, it should win those matchups, just as the 49ers (with their generally superior talent) did for most of the '90s.

The more Purdy's contract drags on the less people will remember what Nacua said. It's not like he said Purdy sucks or anything.

If you owned the Niners, what would you pay the guy per season, for how long and what is guaranteed?
I’ve thought about this. IMO, Purdy came down to earth last season, and to me, is an average QB. Not really franchise guy.
Thoughts?

Re: Puca Nacua Makes Bold Statement
I'd make the contract look good in the headlines but I'd also make sure the team isn't saddled with too much guaranteed money. Think the opposite of that horrific 100% guaranteed DeShawn Watson contract. Dak Prescott got a whopping 60 mil avg but his "total guaranteed" is only 129 mil (2 years).DelMar wrote: ↑April 18th, 2025, 6:31 pmOn another note, what do most of you guys think Purdy is worth?

Ten QB's are getting over 50 mil a year and the price keeps going up so the Niners are screwed. You could make the case for 55 mil a year with 120 guaranteed. Watson is untradeable so eat the guaranteed money in the next few years to so it's easier to find a trade partner.
As far as performance, watch Purdy settle into a middle rung QB like Derek Carr after Kittle, CMC, Trent Williams, Aiyuk all fall by the wayside.

Re: Puca Nacua Makes Bold Statement
He's a starter in the NFL. Has been to championship games. He's getting 50 mil. Just how it works. The first 70 mil guy could be Daniels. Supply and demand helps drive this up. Hard to believe there is less than 25 guys in the US that can actually play the position.
