Rams are the 3th best team in the NFL at drafting over the past 10 years.
The Rams seemed to get it right, even with the team having no picks within the first 100 selections in the 2022 NFL Draft. The team invested in the annual NFL draft with the following number of picks:
2022 | 8 picks | 5 rostered | 3 starters
2023 | 14 picks | 11 rostered | 5 starters
2024 | 10 picks |10 rostered | 5 starters
2025 | 8 picks | TBD
Metrics used: Award winners (AP, MVP, OPOY, DPOY, OROY, DROY, etc.), those made all rookie teams, Pro Bowlers, and those who won Super Bowls.
A website graded NFL teams' effectiveness at drafting over the past 10 years. Betway ranked the Rams as the third most effective drafting NFL team over that lengthy period.

Interesting. Glad to see the Seahawks at the bottom; too bad the 9ers are there with them.

Nice info Glendora. Sort of subjectively felt it but did not objectively know it. Nice stats.GlendoraRam wrote: ↑April 18th, 2025, 1:47 pm The Rams seemed to get it right, even with the team having no picks within the first 100 selections in the 2022 NFL Draft. What’s amazing about this is the Cowboys to me.
To have that type of rated classes at the 2 spot , yet nothing to show for it… is sad.
No wonder why Cowboy fans are miserable drunks.

DelMar,
I thought Raiders fans were the miserable drunks. Or are they just miserable?

I think every team has a criminal element now. the 49ers have been total gangsters. some teams you just can not go to a game and root for the other teamGlendoraRam wrote: ↑April 19th, 2025, 9:36 am It every large industry - sports are an industry, there is a criminal element. The Cowboys have been drafting really well, yet they’ve still underperformed most seasons. It just goes to show that drafting is only one piece of the puzzle. You need solid coaching, a good quarterback, and smart decisions about which players to sign or let go, among other things.

What this also tells me as this is most likely an owner problem. Jerry doesn’t work well w others. I mean the last SB winning coach he had, he drove out of town… and not much had changed since 1995 when he did that.brasilrams wrote: ↑April 19th, 2025, 1:03 pm The Cowboys have been drafting really well, yet they’ve still underperformed most seasons. Re: Rams are the 3th best team in the NFL at drafting over the past 10 years.
I could see us being ranked 3rd over the last 2 drafts but the last 10 years combined? Hmm... We had some really bad drafts over those 8 other years. Snead adjusted his drafting method the last 2 years and it's paid off (trusting the tape not relying on the combine etc.). Hopefully it will pay off again this year as well...
Judge our new coach in his third year. After all our last coach was to game strategy what Yoko Ono was to the Beatles...

The impressive thing about the Rams last two drafts, is that they helped fill the roster/add starters with quality players = resulting in winning games.
They had a lot of holes following the season after the Super Bowl win, and have been really impressive getting right back to being playoff relevant. It's not enough to fill average/below average players with more of the same...just making up for AD last year was quite the challenge.
