1st inning
Starters may want to review how they warm up because the pitching flat out sucks balls in the first inning. Seems like very fucking game they are giving up first inning runs

Re: 1st inning
I no longer consider it underperforming, I think they are just really not that good. Two of them are Japan signings and let's face it, the competition level just isn't the same as MLB and it's showing in their performances, and we've kept a lot of the same bullpen core, but let's face facts, out starters suck so bad that over the last several seasons our bullpen has been WAY overworked and it's showing now, and our in house minor league pitching options are not anything to write home about. We've gone from team ERA's under 3 and usually 1 or 2 in the league, if not MLB in most categories to a team ERA around 4! That is not a winning proposition and if the Dodgers intend to contend with the other top teams, they better start getting busy finding some bullpen arms that can actually get people out without giving up runs.
Meantime, too many starters with TJ history, among other issues. Time to lose May, Gonsolin and Kershaw, who SHOULD have retired 2 seasons ago. He has no snap on his pitches anymore, hell he's been low 90's at BEST for 4 years or more while guys like Verlander with his magic juice have stayed in the high 90's and dramatically increased spin rate. Why we keep signing him is beyond logic.
Meanwhile it seems like pitchers that were doing well elsewhere turn into shit the second they put on the uniform for us. It's much the same as the Lakers with 3 point shooters. Guys that were lights out shooters elsewhere, once they stepped on the floor for the Lakers suddenly forgot how to shoot

Re: 1st inning
Kershaw is done after this year. May - I am not giving up on. He has nasty stuff let's see if he can stay healthy. Gonsolin is done I agree. In regards to TJ too many guys throw too hard now and let's face it if you play baseball in 50% of this country you are playing year round and that is what is killing these guys, youth baseball. By the time they get out of college or high school their arms are almost toast.GoldenRam wrote: ↑June 5th, 2025, 2:52 pmI no longer consider it underperforming, I think they are just really not that good. There are a few exceptions to the rule but for the most part if you throw hard you will have a TJ injury for sure.
Dodgers do not have Treinan right now due to injury so once he comes back maybe they will be ok.
just look at their DL right now....Garcia, Kopech, yates, Treinan, Sasaki, Glasnow, Snell,Phillips, Sheehan....Mash unit right now
