Re: Lot of disrespect for Rams against Philly
Bottom post of the previous page:
I hear this all the time in sports radio. FNs call in and are all bent outta shape because the media doesn't give their team "respect". What does that even mean? They have to pick a winner, it doesn't mean they "disrespect" the other team. You cant have two winners.I wouldn't lose any sleep if the media picked Philly by 21 points. Means absolutely nothing. There's 2 columns in the standings. W, and L. There is no column for media respect. Tough it up man! And if the Ram players also have hurt feelings, then they should try holding Barkley under 250 yards now and then.

Re: Lot of disrespect for Rams against Philly
I'm smelling a close win for the Rams here.... just my gut feeling.
McVay would have looked at this game and been planning for it. Our run defence which was the difference maker last time should be a lot better.
We cannot expect to have a great offensive game but we can keep this tight and see where the turn overs take us.

All very good counter points, especially about last years startsNorCal RF wrote: ↑September 17th, 2025, 12:24 pmFair enough. I counter with…….sanbagger wrote: ↑September 17th, 2025, 12:16 pm
Well, I care...sort of
Reasons why
1) The Rams face the first place schedule the entire year
2) Losing breeds losing and winning breeds winning
3) Indy is no slouch and 2-1 can lead to 2-2 just that quick
4) If the Rams want to get the respect, they have to earn the respect and that comes from beating playoff teams during the year
5) I like to discuss the point being made and even though you start off with "No disrespect" it still is disrespectful...you can alter that with "what they say doesn't bother because...." and that is respectful IMO
I enjoy your posts NOR we just disagree on this one...no biggie
We do but we also have the NFC South n AFC South. Mind you every game isn’t a given but better than some of these other divisions……
I don’t think going 2-1 or 2-2 is going to breed losing with this team. Not after going 1-4 n 3-6 previous years and still getting in……..
I think the respect thing starts n ends with fans. This team IMO has respect where it matters. Sunday won’t change that…….
Malibu just worries about everything with this team. Just my way of saying hey we will be ok whatever happens Sunday. I’m fine with him. I don’t feel I disrespected him but have no issue with your comment…..
I agree no bigee………..
Go Rams

Re: Lot of disrespect for Rams against Philly
I believe the Rams got Ford and Landman specifically to stop Barkley. He embarrassed the Rams last year in both games. If Barkley runs wild(which he hasn't done so far this year) then those free agent signings didn't work. I think they WILL work. The thing that scares me is that we won't have any corners with size (no Witherspoon) to cover AJ Brown. I can see him having a big game if the Rams are able to stifle the run.

Re: Lot of disrespect for Rams against Philly
Regardless of outcome for the Rams going into this game 2-0, makes it a less pressured game to win. 2-1 or 3-0 at this point won't change much in the long term or in the division. Also no key injuries coming out of this game.

Re: Lot of disrespect for Rams against Philly
We can still win if AJ brown gets 120 yards but we can't win if barkley gets 200 yards . When they are running wild like this , it makes TOP one sided , your offense is warming the bench most of the time and we can't win like this . I would totally focus on stoping barkley EVEN if that means AJ brown ends up having a great game .Jack85Youngblood wrote: ↑September 18th, 2025, 5:11 am I believe the Rams got Ford and Landman specifically to stop Barkley. Re: Lot of disrespect for Rams against Philly
Seems ESPN has some respect for the Rams! Here's their panels predictions for Sunday. Pretty fair on their part, AFAIC.
1 has the Rams pulling the upset and only 1 of the 3 has the Eagles covering the 3.5 and their @ home.
Maldonado's pick: Rams 24, Eagles 20
Moody's pick: Eagles 23, Rams 20
Walder's pick: Eagles 28, Rams 24
FPI prediction: PHI, 57.1% (by an average of 3 points)
