WTF is up with the DL zero pressure on Jones same as last week!
Last week and this first half zero pressure on Jones. We have no chance unless we get to Hones and stop McCaffery. Why isnt Shula blitzing more.

Was Raheem Morris our DC tonight? A lot of soft zone. SMH

Shula thinks he can outsmart everyone by playing four DL’s on 6 OL

Only one sack today and Jones passed for over 330 yards lol. Shula is a joke.

When you have piss poor cornerbacks, you have to bring relentless pressure by blitzing from different angles and take your chances.
Shula doesn’t seem to have the balls to take measured risks.

It feels like Shula is over focused on stopping the run. SF 33 rushes for 74 yards at 2.2yard average and 8 yard longest run.
This is great but without pass rush, our weak DBs will stop nothing.

They quick passed a lot to negate the pass rush. Knowing our corners can’t tackle in space. Omar Speights sucks too. Rams basically didn’t play defense for a half and let them get whatever they want.

1- Shanahan called a good game with the quick passes, and Mac Jones played out of his mind great
2 - Our CB situation sucks and REQUIRES that we have pressure on qb. It's a 2 headed monster where the coverage can cause a sack, or sacks cover the shit secondary.
3 - SF has a pretty soild OL
4 - Fiske is a big disappointment thus far and that interior needs to get pressure. We need him badly to play like a round 2 pick

'dink and dunks...'
Mac had a field day w those short outs and 6 - 10 yarders...
I thought Shula fixed this last season... then BOOM, the last 3 games, the ghost of Morris has come back to haunt us.

When a team that has the talent this team has upfront and fails to record a single QB sack until OT!..something is wrong just baffled. And yes they got the ball out quickly but almost zero pressure was applied.
Get ready, little lady. Hell is coming to breakfast.

Re: WTF is up with the DL zero pressure on Jones same as last week!
it's very simple, we do not know how to layer our defense against the 49ers. You really need to run a
4-4-3, one deep safety.
They generally don't get behind you on deep passes. They burn you by breaking tackles on crossing routes. Their OL is decent, but was never good enough when they played against us to give them time for deep passes and it doesn't matter to Shanahan because he doesn't pass deep, he never had the quarterbacks to make all the throws
They run screens, they run crossing patterns, most of the throws are to the first read, you need to layer a layer of linebackers or linebackers and safeties and clog the passing lanes, the qb is throwing to a spot, so we have to play man, if you take away the first read, they will explode and we don't take away the first read
Jones is totally immobile. We should've blitz the shit out of them.

This is exactly correct and I was screaming at the TV all game long. I just can’t comprehend why the D played in a soft zone all game long.therealheadslap75 wrote: ↑October 3rd, 2025, 10:39 am it's very simple, we do not know how to layer our defense against the 49ers. You really need to run a
