Ravens fan checking in
Good morning, Rams followers. I'm a long-time Ravens fan, stopping by to learn about your team's current situation and hopefully providing some perspective on the Ravens' implosion.
It's interesting to visit the forum of a successful team and see the threads calling for coaches/GM to be fired, players to be benched/cut/traded, etc. I realize that your team isn't operating at peak efficiency, but it will be more than enough to take care of business Sunday. The Ravens look like a team that is ready to give up, and it's possible that the HC has already lost the locker room.
The Ravens offense is built with the expectation that Lamar's wizardry will mask its deficiencies in the O-line and (until recently) the WR group. When he's out, it gets ugly, to the tune of 15 or more points per game, on average. This year, the OL is even worse, and it won't take much for you to bottle Henry up and force the backup QB into bad decisions.
On defense, I'll throw out two facts: first, the team is on pace to break the record for points allowed in a season, although the schedule gets much easier after the bye, so they may avoid that fate. Second, in three of the first five weeks, the offensive player of the week has been the QB who played against the Ravens. Yes, they have injuries, but they were bad when they were healthy. They can't stop the run or the pass. They gave up 44 to a Houston offense that was averaging under 20. The DC is in so far over his head that he's turned 2023 first team All-Pro Kyle Hamilton into a JAG. Changes are hopefully coming, possibly including Harbaugh, but not in time to save this season.
The spread is at 7.5 only because it's still remotely possible that Lamar will play, and because a tropical storm is supposed to hit Baltimore Sunday. Without those factors, the Rams covering would be the surest bet of the year.

Re: Ravens fan checking in
Thanks for stopping and giving us such good insight. Many years ago, I lived in Baltimore. We are talking decades ago.
Back when they were the Colts.
The game where the airplane crashed into the stadium.
It was the Colts vs the Steelers and the Colts QB was Bert Jones.
Now, this reveals how old I am.

Fleet St. is a lot safer now, and naturally less affordable.

Keep this little fact for hope: You're always in it with the Rams. Our team loves to speed the grey hair and high blood pressure.

A lot of us in here are still shaking our heads over the loss to the beat up Niners. No Bosa, no Kittle, no Aiyuk, no Pearsall no Jauan Jennings, no Purdy, at home.....I'm still not OK.
That being said, we are playing good ball and Stafford and Nacua are red hot and we are literally 2 plays away from being 5-0 (blocked FG in Philly and a fumble on the goal line vs. SF). Stafford is playing like the HOF-er he is with 11 TD's and 1503 yards and our productive running game has something to do with that. We look great on defense too and although our safeties are good, CB is our weakness. Our front 7 gets so much pressure they rarely get exposed though. Your biggest problem is you are getting a Ram's team that is fucking pissed we let that SF game slip through our fingers. McVay will have them ready and this team will be focused on mistake free football.
I saw the Rams-Ravens at Memorial Stadium their first year in Baltimore. You beat us with a walk off TD pass in OT from Vinny Testaverde to Michael Jackson. Couldn't believe it. Thanks for stopping by. What's your Raven's forum?

Re: Ravens fan checking in
Nacua needs 7 catches to be the first player ever to reach 50 in the first five games. He might get that in the first half.
Here’s the Ravens forum. If you really want a laugh, read the threads about possible Harbaugh replacements. McVay is the top choice (via trade, I guess). Some even want Belichick and his “sentient midlife crisis” GF.

Re: Ravens fan checking in
Great stuff, man. Thanks for the input, but as some have said, the Rams play to the talent of whoever they are facing. I bet this game will be closer than you think. The Rams haven’t really been able to put teams away—I don’t even remember the last time they truly crushed anyone—but at the same time, they can go toe-to-toe with teams that have much more talent. So there’s that.

I haven't seen any recent updates on Stafford's back injury. Based on his performance, it hasn't been bothering him much. Does he practice regularly?

Re: Ravens fan checking in
Welcome and props... Been a while since we've seen the Ravens like this...
About Lamar, Do you think it worthwhile to rush him back early just for this game, with the Ravens bye coming next week?
As we saw last week, the Rams D don't do too well against Back-up QB's so Cooper Rush might be your team's best option... ;) !

Oh my gosh I don't remember that. No one killed? Was it a drunk colts fan behind the stick?GlendoraRam wrote: ↑October 9th, 2025, 11:10 am IMG_0017.jpeg

Re: Ravens fan checking in
Remarkably, only four injuries. When I was there, before I left (Colts got blown out).
The guy was buzzing the stadium. Coming down fairly close, then pulling back and circling around again. Apparently, he missed pulling up on his last run.
A week later, I was in Basic Training with the U.S. Army

Re: Ravens fan checking in
I would not put Lamar out there on a wet field with a bad hamstring. Take the L and let him heal up through the bye week. Then they go on a run or they trade some more people.Rampager66 wrote: ↑October 9th, 2025, 2:13 pm Welcome and props... Been a while since we've seen the Ravens like this...

There’s some speculation that Huntley may start instead of Rush, so they can do read option and possibly loosen things up for Henry.
