McVay, please don't take this game lightly

Post by therealheadslap75 »

losing to a team that you should easily beat seems very similar to blowing a 16 point lead well into the fourth quarter to me. We also collapsed in Philly and played lackluster at Carolina. The rams should play this game like it's a playoff game, hopefully they're angry and committed to showing themselves what type of team they're capable of being.

Unfortunately, McVay coached teams have a history of being unprepared. And when they do get out to a big lead, you can be sure they will let the other team back into it with poor play calling, Shula’s patented prevent defense, and pathetic special teams play.

Concerned about a lay down myself - which would lead to a more negative mind set for this team going forward. I do believe we were promised the years best effort going forward RIGHT AFTER the gift wrapped effort vs Seattle ?

His passionate hate for McVay is somethin…

I’ll just never understand it. Winningest coach in Rams history. Playoffs and SB’s. Constant winning records.

I mean if he’s this hard on Sean, can’t imagine his takes on coaches during the Rams dark ages (2004-2015). But then again, since Sean is such a bad coach, maybe this poster will appreciate what we have now, if we ever go back into
bottom feeding …

🤷🏻‍♂️

Ouch

I have to say that recapping the season, the Rams IMO are 4 plays from 15-0... which tells me that SEAN didn't lay down for anyone or take anyone lightly and I don't expect that to change today. He knows what's at stake and AFAIC, he'll be ready to go... the question is will the players... for the $$ they make... they damn well better be. I like the Rams comfortably....

I think alot depends on the outcome of the Seattle/Carolina game. If Seattle wins, then I don’t see much juice for the Rams this game as the division/#1 seed hopes will be 99.9999% done.

And down 3 opening day Oline starters, I could see McVay having the attitude of Green Bay last night where you just want to get to the playoffs healthy so just coast the last 2 games.

I dont think losing this game would hurt confidence bc you could just blame it on injuries.

Nah, if we go back to being bottom feeder, he won't wait to tell the whole world "I told you so!". Fuck his and his crybaby posts.

I don't think McVay lays down, I do think that in the fourth quarter, when he's playing with the big lead, he's way way way too hesitant to pass the ball to get those back breaking first downs

He will take three rushing attempts and a punt, I think he should play to get first downs and keep moving the chains, sure running eats up the clock, but punting is never your friend regardless of the score.

on the other side of the ball I think Shula becomes petrified of getting beat deep so much to the point that he allows teams easy completions. I don't think we should totally change our game plan when we have a lead I think we should do the same things that we did they gave us a lead.

If there is no point in winning these games as far as playoff seedlings or even playoff seeding if they can’t possibly win the division let alone 1st seed

Then health of the players becomes his priority over winning

Seen it more then once
