NorCal RF wrote: December 29th, 2025, 8:53 am Team is 11-4. Has a damn good chance to end at 13-4. That is a hell of a season period. It is just one of those years where there are 3 teams in the division having a hell of a season………

Not getting the #1 seed is 100% on the team. Rams threw up on themselves 3 separate occasions with each game a very low percentage of them losing the game at some point within each game. No one else to blame but themselves……….

But anyone seriously not thinking they can’t win 3 playoff games? You are not? Really? Who actually beat them this year? A Indy team not in the playoffs and Carolina. Anyone really that concern with a Carolina rematch?……..

And did we see Seattle D when we last played them? Did you see SF n Chicago’s D last night? Did you See Seattle put up 3 points in the first half yesterday? Philly offense? That has you concerned! GB D without Parsons n now more injuries? Do we need to talk Tampa?……..

Every damn team in the NFC making the playoffs is flawed. One can make the point that this team is less flawed than any of them………
I don't know NC, there is a history of collapse, now we can say we're 11–4 but we also collapsed in a few wins, it's easy to forget that, but it's happening for a reason. Think about the Super Bowl year, we collapsed to allow San Francisco into the playoffs, we collapse to allow Tampa Bay back into the game, even in the Super Bowl game where we were clearly the better team on almost every level, how close were we to Burrow completing that pass to Jamar Chase when Ramsey fell down?

Obviously McVay is a great coach, but we have a very high bar right now, Stafford is playing out of his mind he's the number one ranked quarterback in the NFL by far, we have the best wide receiver from a ranking standpoint in the NFL, or number two wide receiver is a top 10 wide receiver, we have two top 15 running backs, shouldn't McVay credit for some of this, absolutely, but there's always a blind spot in personnel and we all to often freeze up in the 4th qtr with giant leads
Every team making the playoffs this year has “collapsed” at one time or another this year. Why do you hold this team at another entire tier than the rest of the league on this subject? The season has nothing to do with the playoffs.

And your example like Burrow to Chase well its called football/sports. That has never happened in our favor? Ever?

I’m going to give you credit that you understand the game. I question it at times but……….. You know come playoffs it’s the team that can make plays at critical times, not turn the ball over, n have a QB. It is not what you did in week 3. Seperate the two……………

I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to linebackers because of Landman. Also stayed too long with Havenstein and Higbee who are both washed.
What part of our losses this year are entirely on us do you not understand……………

What does Havs and Higbee have to do with the playoffs and this team’s overall record? What Havs personally lost us a game this year? Higbee was a part of a 4 man TE rotation that has played quite well since the Jacksonville game……………

CB’s yep an issue. Did you see our last game against Seattle? How many yards did Stafford throw for? Wow Seattle’s CB’s were great that game! Did you see last nights Chicago n SF game? Those CB’s were elite last night lmao. I can continue with other NFL teams and games this year if you would like……………..

You have one agenda here and that is to constantly hate on the winningest coach of this organization. All one needs to know about your football IQ. You have been called out by many on this in here. Most like me could care less what you think……………..

Rams screwed themselves. I said after they lost to Carolina, that loss made the Detroit and Seattle games must wins. And they lost to Seattle. That would not have hurt as much had they beaten Carolina. Seattle and SF both made Carolina look inept and we made Young, a bad QB, look good. That’s on them. Defense very fraudulent. Smoke and mirrors unit.

Rams can win 3 straight sure. All on road? Unlikely. We know it’s rare for teams to do that. All NFC teams have flaws but playing on road is a disadvantage.

Demoralizing last 12 days. Seattle loss and every single outcome went against us.

Not a mentality. Just that their SB odds prob got cut in half. Reality.

Rams couldn’t hold a 30-14 lead. Had they done that would be 12-3. Seattle and SF 12-4. Rams would be a win against AZ from being 5-1 in division and winning NFC 1 seed. Could have taken tonight off. Plus the bye week.

Now we have to win just to maintain the 5 seed. Fucking sucks.

Is history now. Let's just move forward and grab the 5 seed. Then win some road games vs inferior teams. We got this if we can keep playing like we have been. Just a few bounces the wrong way resulted in a L. Coach will have these guys fired up for the post season.

Who cares about odds, seriously……….

No argument the @1 seed would have been ideal. But it is gone so we move on. How long are we going to lament over this? If we were Tampa id say yep this team should probably not be in playoffs. But we are not…………

What we are is a MVP QB. 2 damn good RB. Probably the best WR in the game. 2 current OT that have not given up a sack all year if I’m not mistaken. A OL overall playing very well that it translates to the road. A TE group playing very well………..

Yep back 5+ in secondary a real concern. And yep because of concern 2 playoff games better than 3. But that concern wasn’t going away with 2 playoff games or 3. It isn’t going away just because we are playing at home. There isn’t an offense in the playoffs, except maybe Tampa, that doesn’t have the offense to expose this team’s weakness. Sounds familiar? Same can be said about our offense against any of these playoff defenses. We have exposed all of them accept GB N Chicago who we have not played. Are you really worried about those 2 defenses?………………

Rams playoff fate does not come down to seed, weather, or where the game will be played. It comes down to health and our offense continuing to play like they have all season except the Carolina game. Run the ball, protect the QB, and don’t turn the ball over. No different than SF, GB, and Chicago. Seattle no D IMO because their offense isn't that good. Same with Philly. But Again what did our offense do on the road against those 2 teams most of those 2 games? And if we cant beat either NFC South team then…………..

Not saying we won’t screw it up come playoff time but in all likelihood it is going to take another team to put up some serious points to not have us having a serious shot to get to the SB………….

Agreed

Mcvay ignored Special Teams coaching for way to long. Against Seattle, Rams paid to the point that they cannot recover the 1st round seed

But will it change anything for Rams.
Not much. Rams control own destiny for 5 seed.

But a 7-9 TB team plays for a home playoff game. So does 8-8 Carolina.
Same with 8-8 Baltimore and 9-7 Steelers
Philly plays in a division where the second place is under .500
Bears wrapped up division before they played tonight.
Luck has a lot to do with it. Rams can’t in division at 11-4.
That's the disadvantage with playing in a division with solid to very good teams almost top to bottom. There is VERY little margin for error and unfortunately the Rams erred TWICE in division, once each against their top challengers, and it cost them. The Rams lost games they were essentially in TOTAL control of. Can't do that and expect the football Gods to side with you

The Rams are winning tonight and next week. They will beat either Carolina or Tampa, then go on to win the Super Bowl. This team is good enough.
