ugly win but who cares it's still a win. our biggest weakness got exposed again today, secondary, but no big surprise.

No one is more positive with this team than me. Go ask slap……..
That said I’m known to say if there is an issue I will………
First Rams offense is elite. I’ve said so all year. But let’s not forget that “ these guys” are about ready to go 3-14……
This team blew how big of a lead in Seattle late. Posters have a right to still be pissed about that. Probably cost this team #1 seed………
It doesn’t “suck” to say the truth about this secondary. They again are horrible. Saying such isn’t being a bad fan…….
I have a feeling you know what I feel about some of the “fire” posts as well as the negative crap towards players who have played well this year but because they drop a pass………
Just defending those who agree with me on the Seattle game and this secondary. I’m not going to sugarcoat going into the playoffs how damn bad this secondary is. I said a few weeks ago they will probably be the reason if this team doesn’t get to where they should get to……..

Watching this team, I am finding what bi-polar really means. As a die hard fan, and speaking for the way this team performs.

Re: Rams vs Cardinals Game Thread
So the Rams end up with the 2nd best record in the NFC and the 9ers 3rd!
Turns out not blowing the Seattle game would have given us the 1 seed.
Tied at 13-4 but we win the tiebreak because would have beaten them twice, 8 minutes up 16 and a missed FG!

Re: Rams vs Cardinals Game Thread
Agreed on all points. Not sure if it’s the scheme or the players regarding the secondary, probably more the players. I don’t know if Lake will make much of a difference, but the unit was better as a whole when he was in there. With the O being top tier, the secondary doesn’t have to be perfect, but rather good enough. Hopefully with Lake back and sone D adjustments, they can be good enough.NorCal RF wrote: ↑January 4th, 2026, 4:27 pmI knew you weren’t…….Utah Rams Fan wrote: ↑January 4th, 2026, 4:17 pm

I think when Adams comes back, the O will be good. But our D REALLY needs to pick ip up. McVay needs to have a ars kicking session with Shula.

How much did McCreary play? Did he look decent? We know how bad the rest of them are.

Just win baby... Too many around here expect the team to go 17 and 0 and win every game 35-0... or so it sometimes seems
The current Ram fanbase has been spoiled by this regime/team and will miss these days when we go back into the shitter like every team does.

I remember a Rams team years ago. Excuse my memory. But they went into the playoffs as a wild card and got hot They went deep into the playoffs. If this Rams team gets hot, they can do the same thing. Mostly worried about the defense.

Re: Rams vs Cardinals Game Thread
It was 1979. We went into the playoffs at 9-7 child card. We upset the Cowboys, defeated the Bucs 9-0 and eventually lost to the Steelers and Terry Bradshaw in the SB. Wyndle Tyler was the running back. Vince Ferragamo was the QB.

Re: Rams vs Cardinals Game Thread
They weren't a WC in 79 bro. It was the 7th of 7 Division Titles in a row, They were the team with the worst record of the 7 but they went the farthest in the playoffs, Youngblood, Dryer, Brooks, Brudzinski, Carl Ekern, Dave Elmendorf, Monte Jackson, Rod Perry, Cromwell, Cullen Bryant, Rich Saul, Dennis Harrah and the O line. I think Terry Nelson was the TE... Team of vets that found their grove at the end of the year and almost got it done....

I get it but it is the lousy cardinals and again, we couldn't put together 4 quarters of good football. By mid third quarter we were actually losing. Strong finish but you need 4 quarters of solid football to win in the playoffs.GSOT89 wrote: ↑January 4th, 2026, 4:04 pm championship caliber 4th quarter and drives by Stafford, MVP level finish!!!!!

down 20-16 late in the 3rd, since that moment
Rams had 24 plays 217 yards 3 touchdowns 11 minutes of possession

who says the Cardinals are lousy? their record? they started off 2-0 with wins over the Saints and Panthers, lost to the 49'ers by 1 point, lost to the Seahawks by 3 points, lost to the Titans by 1 point, lost to the Colts by 4, lost to the Packers by 4, beat the Cowboys, got beat up by the Seahwks and 49'ers, lost the Jags by 3, lost to TB by 3, beat up by the Rams twice, beat up by Houston and Bengals, lost to Falcons by 7.brasilrams wrote: ↑January 4th, 2026, 9:57 pmI get it but it is the lousy cardinals and again, we couldn't put together 4 quarters of good football. they had 8 losses by 26 points (3 points a loss over 8 games) and to Seahawks, 49'ers, Colts, Jaguars, Bucs, Falcons, Packers, Titans.
they are better than they lead on to be, not to mention they lost their QB early on and other players.

Re: Rams vs Cardinals Game Thread
They are lousy and losing a shit ton of games by 2 or 20 points , is still ...LOSING . The league this year doesn't even have a bunch of strong teams, they are all flawed and even then , the card couldn't win 4 games out of 17 . Please..... Like I said , strong finish but I will say it again : 4 quarters of solid football is needed to win in the playoffs and only during a few games this season ( maybe 3-4 ) the rams put together 4 quarters of solid football and that is the reason I think we are not going to make a lot of noise in the playoffs AND of course , this secondary .GSOT89 wrote: ↑January 4th, 2026, 10:18 pmwho says the Cardinals are lousy? their record? they started off 2-0 with wins over the Saints and Panthers, lost to the 49'ers by 1 point, lost to the Seahawks by 3 points, lost to the Titans by 1 point, lost to the Colts by 4, lost to the Packers by 4, beat the Cowboys, got beat up by the Seahwks and 49'ers, lost the Jags by 3, lost to TB by 3, beat up by the Rams twice, beat up by Houston and Bengals, lost to Falcons by 7.brasilrams wrote: ↑January 4th, 2026, 9:57 pm

And that is what bad teams do and that is lose in every type of way. There are no “good losses”. Ask their HC who will probably be looking for a new job soon…….
