I Was Wrong
I was pretty certain that a decent pass rush could overcome the Rams possible deficiencies in their secondary .
Well, "possible deficiencies " are actually REAL deficiencies...and the defensive front put some good pressure on Young.
My bad.
I gotta think the DL and LBs are getting a bit pissed at the DBs at this point.

Re: I Was Wrong
Win and go forward of course - Our secondary play is a total disgrace & will be our undoing. Can’t be fixed or disguised at this point in time and our MVP QB won the game in the end. This team has very real flaws to make a deep playoff run - but - you give it all you have.

McCreay should start next week, give him a shot
I'm ready to give Kendricks a shot too.

Re: I Was Wrong
The good thing is, all the teams left standing now also have flaws. Maybe NE, Denver, and Chicago may have the fewest flawsRonMac wrote: ↑January 10th, 2026, 5:34 pm Win and go forward of course - Our secondary play is a total disgrace & will be our undoing. Re: I Was Wrong
We need t draft top tier dbs. I hope the safety from O- State falls. He’s a super play maker freak. But I’ll settle for best on the board with pick 13. But my gut tells me they will go WR.

Re: I Was Wrong
I sure hope not, but it makes the Perfect response by Sean nabbing the WR spot. We’ve never truly respected two positions in the McVay draft era… OL and DB group imo.

Re: I Was Wrong
I was wrong too. In another thread I said I hoped we drafted Jeremyah Love. After seeing today, if we don't go CB with at least 2 of our top 4 picks, I'll be pissed.

Re: I Was Wrong
I think CB, OL and STers
should be the main priority in the off-season. This Defense has done just enough to take us to the playoffs and win us a playoff game. But at some point, this weakness is going to come back and bite us against better offenses than BY. I think that's what's holding this Defense back from truly being elite. That and defensive play-calling from Shula, but I don't necessarily think it's the scheme. It's the lack of proper talent. But I was wrong. Love that we won.
