Wow. I don't think you need to worry about the Rams leaving LA.
Rams Village at Warner Center, which could reportedly cost $10 billion to complete, includes site of the dead Promenade shopping mall at 6100 Topanga Canyon Boulevard and the neighboring Anthem Blue Cross site to the east at 6100 Owensmouth Avenue. The mall property already carries entitlements for a redevelopment including high-rise housing, offices, and other commercial uses, while much of the Anthem Blue Cross lot has already been turned into the team's new practice facility. The adjoining Village shopping mall, which is also owned by Kroenke, is not included in the project, but will have pedestrian connections to the new development.

And I think Kroenke still gets to buy that training facility in St. Louis for $1. That's the customary amount at the end of a lease.

Kroenke is literally making his own city with the Rams as the center piece. If you are a player do you take notice that the team has a couple of bucks at contract time?

Place is downright gorgeous. Talk about Rams EMPIRE.
We literally have our own city now. And our owner OWNS it all, nothing is rented.
Power to the Rams baby.
Welcome to 'Ramsyland'. (ok, maybe a little gay, but it does have a good ring to it, like Bulldawgs moms 'pet' name. But ill keep that one private)

What I don't like is that somehow the Chargers will ride this !!!
Haven't looked at the terms but does someone know how to kick them out or when the lease ends ?

I agree 100%. They had a stadium in the gas light district which if you don't know is literally about five blocks of bars (throw in a book store or clothing store why don't you).. Outdoors on the bay. How do you not make that work.

Let me correct my own error. I am thinking of Petco field, where Padres play. Never understood why chargers didn't play there.

Re: Who cares about NFL, let's talk about real estate.
I followed it very closely back in the day.
Problem #1: Spanos wanted the people of SD to pay a large portion of the stadium
Problem #2: the people of SD voted down the measure to include it in their taxes the following yr
Problem #3: Spanos and the city could not agree on a location
Problem #4: the hotel tax that was supposed to be a big supplier of the money was voted down
It was a complete clusterfuck and I really don't play Spanos for moving the team but it totally sucks. SD supported the chargers and they should still be there. Super Bowls in SD were awesome back in the day

And to think the Louies thought the Rams would never leave St Louie for LA. LOL

Re: Who cares about NFL, let's talk about real estate.
Huge Rams fan here but live in Chicago. I go to about one Bears game a year (last year was the Rams game, what a fiasco). Nevertheless, Soldier Field is a terrible place to see a game. You have to walk about a mile after parking unless you have preferred parking, although the tailgating is top notch. They have plans to build a new stadium in the suburbs, although nothing on the scale of Sofi. Having been in real estate for over 35 years, the Rams Village concept is absolutely brilliant and no doubt has the ability to attract players.

Oh so you're an Aztec.... Big game coming up with Boise State in 3 weeks, probably for the division again.
SDSU has one of the best D's in the country this year and the Bronco's one of the best Offenses!
Should be a good one, again!

Re: Who cares about NFL, let's talk about real estate.
The Chargers could not play at Petco Park because of a "no football" clause written into the Padres' contract with the city for their new baseball stadium. The Padres did not want to repeat the experience of sharing a multi-purpose stadium, and the clause was a key detail in the development deal. I don't blame the Padres at all for not sharing a stadium with a football team. There are no major league baseball teams that share their stadium with a football team..that ended when the Raiders left Oakland..it just doesn't work..fans get a crappie experience and I'm sure NFL football players never liked playing on dirt.
Get ready, little lady. Hell is coming to breakfast.

Re: Who cares about NFL, let's talk about real estate.
And Petco is a baseball only configuration and would be horrible for football. They blew up Jack Murphy and SDSU built a new stadium in record time but it's really small. I'd see it whenever I drove by on the 805 and was shocked at how fast they did it.Henry VIII wrote: ↑October 21st, 2025, 12:53 pmThe Chargers could not play at Petco Park because of a "no football" clause written into the Padres' contract with the city for their new baseball stadium. They'd have to build a new stadium somewhere else and some have mentioned Montgomery Field (local airport). It's too bad because they had a good plan in Mission Valley which included a revitalized river walk and retail area. It would have been on the original site after a tear down.

LOL, Good Times!
It was funny to see the Louies and how delusional they were, lawsuits with the Rams and NFL giving them a new stadium and a new team. In their head they thought that was rational.
Hey went to Ram Colt game a few weeks ago, brought back memories of Johnny Unitas and John Mackey at the LA Coliseum.

My old college roommate from TO went to that game. I texted him afterwards and said "you picked a helluva game to go to!"LARAMS67 wrote: ↑October 21st, 2025, 6:50 pmLOL, Good Times!

Remember when I used to ruin Monsiere's Trivia threads? I was thinking about that the other day. I loved doing that.

I agree it's been a long time since SDSU has been relevant. Go AztecsRampager66 wrote: ↑October 21st, 2025, 11:47 amOh so you're an Aztec.... Big game coming up with Boise State in 3 weeks, probably for the division again.
