History lesson on how bad rams are at choking vs 9ers

1989 MNF Rams up 17 to 0 and fake a fg which doesn't work. Next play to Montana to taylor td. Later in game up 27 to 17 Doug Smith cant get the snap to everett on 1st and goal at 5. Next play Montana to taylor again td. Ensuing kickoff Ron brown fumbles. 9ers score up 30 to 27. Rams ensuing possession 3 and out. Game over.

2010 Rams at sf have 9ers 3rd and 38 play prevent and give up 23 yards. Then on 4th and 15 TD. Game over.

2011 Rams go up 14 to 0 on 9ers. Give up lead but late in game down 4 we get 1st down inside 5 yd line but
Inexplicably jeff Fisher calls a time out with a minute left instead of running more clock when we had two time outs left , we score touchdown , but we leave enough time on the clock for kaepernick , to get the niners into field goal range to tie the game. Then first play in overtime , bradford , throws to amendola for a huge gain , but our receiver lines up off the ball for an illegal formation. Also in that overtime we had a fifty three yard field goal to win the game.But we have a false start which pushes it to a 58 yarder and Greg the leg misses that field goal , we end up tying the game.

2014 Rams have 14 to 0 lead at home. Austin Davis game. Right before half 9ers are at their own 20 with less than 30 seconds I believe. Janoris Jenkins gives up 80 yd to. I can't remember some of the other details in this game , but we absolutely choked and gave this game up.

2019 tied 7 to 7 at colisseum we have third and goal at the one and McVay runs 2 straight fullback dives.The same exact play into the niners line which gets stuffed. That turned the tide of the game and we don't score for the rest of the game and lose.

2019 at sf Christmas night. Rams had san francisco third and sixteen twice late in the game with the game tied. Forty niners convert on both of those plays and end up kicking the game winning field goal. That game ended our hopes of making the playoffs.

2021 season finale at Sofi. Up 17 to 0. Rams turn the ball over right before half allow the niners to get a cheap field goal. We collapse in the second half , and losing overtime. Only example of game that didn't kill our season.

And of course last night's game.

I cite these games to illustrate how many times in the history we've had these crazy games of just absolute utter collapses and just mind blowing mistakes. I watched last night's game throughout the game.Just waiting for every ball to drop and it's just a sad way to watch a game.

Last night's game was right up there with the 89 monday night football fiasco.

I love how the NFC Championship game of a few years ago is omitted as well as the 2 wins last year………..

We will always have the NFC title game.

We had beaten them 3 straight times before last night. Here were the wins.
1. Game of backups end of 2023. Niners were resting starters.
2. Game last year Niners pissed away at SoFi
3. Ugly slugest Thursday game late in year last year. Rams won 12-6. Niners were totally beat up.

Shanahan ate McVay’s lunch yesterday. The short passing game. Do you ever see McVay winning a game against the Niners without half his roster. I don’t.

For years I thought Niners were more talented than us. No longer the case especially last night. Totally embarrassing.

NorCalI didn't make that post to 2 overlook our win against the niners.Which was the one of the biggest wins in franchise history.

I simply made that post remind some people about how bad our chokes have been against the niners. It's just a vent from a frustrated fan.
