That went about as well as expected

Lakers sucked out, especially in the the 3rd quarter. Same bugaboo from last season, well same 2 actually. Coming out of the half flat and still can't shoot the 3 ball. Must be something in the water, even back in the day, when they signed guys like Glen Rice, once they got to LA they suddenly couldn't shoot.

Lakers are too slow, too unathletic, and Luka ISO ball isn’t a winning strategy. It’s too much like James Harden where one guy dominates the ball, but they don’t have any shooters or finishers around him when he initiates. That style of basketball has never won anywhere. Luka/Reeves ISO ball with the roster around them is a lottery team.

Ayton is a bum. There’s a reason no other teams wanted to give him any money this offseason.

I just don’t see anything with this group. It’s too unathletic. There’s no quickness on the floor at any position. They will need to reset the roster with LeBron’s salary off the books for next season. This year i think is a lottery team given the depth in the West.

Vanderbilt/Smart/Ayton are low IQ loser players. Smart made so many dumb fouls last night. He’s just out there for himself. Vanderbilt has zero NBA skills.

Reeves is a classic “player that scores the points on bad teams”. DLo was also this type of guy.
LaRavia doesn’t belong in the NBA.
Bronny doesn’t belong in the NBA.
Vincent had a great few weeks in the NBA and turned that into $36 mils from the Lakers
Knecht I think could be a weapon as a spot up shooter but JJ doesn’t play him

There just isn’t enough surrounding a core of Luka/Lebron/AR, and even that core has such a negative defensive value it almost cancels out the offense.

Hopefully when Walter’s team gets in there they clean house. NBA is way harder to build a winner than MLB with the apron/tax/lottery luck….but it has to be better than the strategy they currently have.
