McVay : Great O adjustments
I have been a McVay critic at times if for nothing more than his stubbornness. He has sghiwn great growth on the O approach with his 3 TE adjustment and this O seems unstoppable at times. MS has never been better @ age 37 . McVay should get major props for his adjustments with Personnel we have. Mark of a great HC .

Re: McVay : Great O adjustments
Mcvay continues to modify/change his offense to find success. He changed the offense and made it productive once again. One of the things I like about Mcvay is he isnt stubborn. He will modify/change his offense if it is no longer working. He isnt one of those coaches who falls in love with a offense and will run it, even when it isn't working. He has the ability and willingness to create new schemes and formations, to best adjust to defenses as they evolve and counter his style of play.
Mcvay became Rams head coach with a explosive scheme using 11 personnel and wide zone run game.
League caught up to that style, so after the SB loss, the rams went more with a 12 personnel run scheme with condensed formations.
Rams obtain Stafford and shifted to a more spread-out, pass-heavy scheme with quarterback Matthew Stafford, utilizing shotgun and pistol formations
In 2023 rams prioritized a physical gap scheme run game, pretty much ending the previously used wide zone scheme.
In 2025 (this year) rams have moved to more of a 13 personnel scheme (which is why Mcvay been adding tight ends over the last 2 years with Park, Allen and Ferg).

Ferguson looks to be a very talented target with speed & hops who seems to run by any LB. Best is yet to come for him.

Re: McVay : Great O adjustments
The crazy part...
I think this offense is just getting started...
Never have I seen Stafford and this offense so electric, and the astounding part to me, is they seem to be getting better every game. Limiting mistakes, and just like in years past, our OL was a bit shaky to start, but now... they have it figured out and the guys in the right spots.
Sean and Matt are on a level that no one can really understand... the calls coming in, only a very select few QB's could do, but Sean is like a mad scientist, looking at his creation of X's and O's and looking at a QB and Offense who gets it and can actually do it (not like a deer in the headlights from past QB's, sorry Goff moms)... ,I am sure somme plays maybe even shocks Sean himself from time to time. The no look passes, Sean is like a kid in the candy story watching what Matt and this entire O is doing.
There is a special connection in the offense right now like I have never seen before. Last season it got close, but this is a different level. To Williams now being able to hold onto the Rock, the continuity in the OL, Matt trusting his WR's to be where they are supposed to be, so much so, Matt can even throw in some razzle dazzle to confuse defenders that much more... its actually hilarious and awesome all at the same time.
right now, its like watching men vs the boys when our O takes the field.
Colin on the Herd just now is losing his marbles saying the Rams are now hands down the best team in the league... Rams are on a burner like we saw last year, except this year's offense is a whole new level... and I have to agree w Colin.

Re: McVay : Great O adjustments
I've always been big on Stafford as a Ram. His effectiveness imo has been directly tied to his O-line...and right now the O-line is playing really well (run/pass block). Lord knows Stafford has a ton of weapons around him this year as well. Rams 13 personnel is almost unstoppable, so of course we're seeing it a lot . Playbook is wide open and Stafford is obviously elite.DelMar wrote: ↑November 10th, 2025, 9:29 am The crazy part...

The whiner pass rush is not good tho, so the SEA defense will be the test. I've had them as way more of a challenge than the whiners for most the season. Both SEA and Rams could easily be undefeated at this point. This game should be a monster.

And I'll add this is the best version of McVay I've ever seen. This is the most nuanced offensebhe has put together. From the running game, TEs, passing, ect. It's a complete offense. And of course Stafford ties it all together.

Our13 personnel is a fucking beast too as it presents defenses further problems within the McVay schemes - will the Rams come out running behind it or will TE's hit the pass routes. Very physical style benefitting the run, yet little drop off in the pass game...

Re: McVay : Great O adjustments
I totally agree we go as far as the OL takes us. We are not reliant on one wr we have many now with the TEs and backs added to the distribution list but we lose an OLman and Stafford timing and and time in the pocket will be disrupted.RamPower wrote: ↑November 10th, 2025, 12:42 pmI've always been big on Stafford as a Ram.
