Trust The Process
I am pretty damn certain that McSnead and the entire scouting department knows a hellava lot more than I do.
Wasn’t happy with the Hunter pick. Snead targeted this guy.
Would rather see a big back who can move the pile. Rams seem to draft the same sort of RBs.
Henderson, Williams, Corum, and now Hunter. I am going to trust the Rams staff knows what they are doing. They have nailed it before, and the best indication of future success is past success.
I like Ferguson, seeing how he is big and the fastest TE in this class.
As for Josaiah Stewart, undersized… but as Bill Belichick once said “I don’t pay attention to the numbers or size all that much, I want guys who can play football”. Stewart seems to fit this mold.
Ty Hamilton seems for be a very good anchor for the middle.
Chris Paul Jr. was expected to go higher. Think we got a decent coverage guy here.
Again, I am going to trust the process and believe we had an excellent draft.

Re: Trust The Process
I am shocked Martinez, RB Miami, has not been drafted yet. He is a huge back would love to see him a Ram. I have total confidence in Rams FO. Concerned about back 7 defense and the OL depthGlendoraRam wrote: ↑April 26th, 2025, 2:02 pm I am pretty damn certain that McSnead and the entire scouting department knows a hellava lot more than I do.

Re: Trust The Process
Paul played at Arkansas for a while; he was very solid.
I too would have liked a slobber knocking big RB; I'm sick of diminutive shifty RBs who can't move the pile and pick up 3 yards and a first down.

By now we all trust Snead. My issue regarding some choices are as follows:GlendoraRam wrote: ↑April 26th, 2025, 2:02 pm I am pretty damn certain that McSnead and the entire scouting department knows a hellava lot more than I do.

Didn't need to trade up for a RB we didn't need a RB compared to other needs.
Trading up for a 5th round tackle is ludicrous especially giving up a 4th in 2026 draft and a position of almost least need.
Ferguson maybe a hidden gem but I felt stronger options later or trade down and taking a TE 1st with 2 top CBs on the board again seemed irresponsible. Yes we need a backup TE but not over an ILB (trade down) or CBs Johnson and Amos there Johnson was mocked some in the top 10 and supposed to be the 2nd best behind Hunter I know had medical concerns.
We didn't address the db room and maybe with a FA like Alexander or Ramsey if either comes available but we need one.
We did not come away with a Backup Tackle hopefully what we have is good enough we know Noteboom wasn't.
Only saving grace was Paul at ILB but the jury is still out on him imo. But has been a consensus possibility for awhile with Campbell and Knight Jr.
Again I will preface this it is my opinion and I am not Snead/McVay or the scouts hope I am wrong.
The positives:
2026 first which is huge!!!
Both the TE and OLB fill a strong backup need.
Paul hopefully helps not just special teams.

Re: Trust The Process
These guys don’t have a process. We all knew taking Tutu over Creed was bad then. And it’s still bad today.
We know Reeder sucks.
We know our backup OTs stink
We know they just drafted Corum last year, so either he was a waste last year, or Hunter is this year.
None of this makes sense. I watched lot of football this past year. In no way was the kid they drafted from Michigan better than Jack Sawyer. The tape doesn’t lie and he played beside two 1st rounders which made his life easy.
When you look at OT, QB, WR, CB…look at the 2026 roster and those spots. To not address them. And those are premium spots you need real dudes at to make a difference. I just can’t trust anything here.
It started out good with the trade. But this was a Mike Martz draft. And not in a good way

Re: Trust The Process
I'm in agreement with you about our team failing to acquire a #1 CB and a reliable backup OT in this year's NFL draft, those needs were clearly unmet.
However, our team is set at QB and in decent shape at WR for the moment, those positions can be dealt with next year; having obtained an extra 2026 first-round draft pick should prove critical to the Good Guys being able to trade up for a top QB prospect then.
To quote the Rolling Stones, "You can't always get what you want..." :? :P ;)

Re: Trust The Process
I thought it was a very patient and disciplined draft. McSnead said they wanted the offense to get more explosive and they made moves to do that. Loading up the DLINE is an excellent strategy. I am not sure why people think drafting an RB is a slam on Corum, there is a very real possibility that Kyren will not be in horns in a couple of years. My only concern is the potential lack of depth at Oline but with teams only carrying 8-10, there has to be some good journeymen out there. We can go hard on tackle and a great WR next or future franchise QB.

No OL depth is very concerning. If AJ or hav goes down, season is over as mclendon and arghh noteboom are not NFL players.
