Re: Rams Camp Injuries
Hmmm...back issue doesn't sound optimistic. Hopefully they are just being cautious. Maybe he pulled his back out spending time with Delmar's mom? Hope it is nothing lingering.

Re: Rams Camp Injuries
Exactly! What does back mean? Or are they just sitting Stafford out to keep fresh and no risk of injury. A bad back disc injuries... Could be career ending.

Re: Rams Camp Injuries
Yep. Having a bad back, and a cage in it... I really understand how the back can affect everything. I think at this point, Brooklyn nailed it.. we need to really start to think about The Plan for our next QB and start putting things in place to get us exactly who we want.
One thing I can say is that back issues never go away. Sure, it can hurt and be sore more or less at times, but once the back goes.. you're screwed for life...

Re: Rams Camp Injuries
This all depends on what is really going on w that back. If it's the same spinal cord contusion issues from 2022, this is not good news. Remember he was done for that season after that. And before that, he was dealing with a lower lumbar sprain where he missed time in season prior... so lets hope this is a small issue. Also, had fractures in his vertebrae in 2018. So this could be a number of things...BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2025, 3:02 pmAnd i think Stafford can have 2-3 more "Stafford" years. I have no problem sitting the youngster for 1-2 years while Stafford balls out.DelMar wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2025, 2:36 pm

But not a good start to the season here.

Re: Rams Camp Injuries
I have to agree. Back injuries can linger and be problematic for months or longer. Given this history you noted above, it’s not a great start for old Matt.DelMar wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2025, 3:07 pmThis all depends on what is really going on w that back. Re: Rams Camp Injuries
That would seem like the right move, unless some really good QB becomes disgruntled and becomes available.BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2025, 12:42 pm We are ABSOLUTELY putting our 2026 Draft resources into Next Franchise Quarterback. All due respect to the great Matthew Stafford.

Re: Rams Camp Injuries
AJ not training with team is not good. He will be rusty as best case scenario when he hits the field. Staff with the back issue before things even start not so promising either. This is gonna be a very interesting season. Can go in any direction.

Re: Rams Camp Injuries
Exactly. I am not sure why Lawrence would be on your list, but I agree with the overall concept. Quality QBs don't usually become available, but not completely impossible. It will be interesting to see how Manning does this year. I am not sold on him being the 1st pick.BrooklynRam74 wrote: ↑July 22nd, 2025, 5:14 pmWell yes, established young Quarterback shoots out available ( Lawrence, Herbert) Burrow (pipe dream) the resources go to that. Otherwise, 26 Draft QB.

I suspect Stafford messed up his back on that new mattress his wife made him buy.
