Purdy out two to five weeks.
Brock Purdy likely out 2-5 weeks with turf toe variant; 49ers to start Mac Jones at quarterback. Yes I know there is another thread. But IMO this needed to be highlighted. If the 49ers go 500 this year I would be shocked.

Re: Purdy out two to five weeks.
Niners aren’t a contender. Their run is over. Don’t care about their schedule. Their guys all fragile and they’re too top heavy. Rams now have the better roster.
Not sold on Seattle or AZ either. Darnold and washed Kupp is something to be afraid of? Never was a Kyler Murray fan. AZ defense could be good.

Purdy, Aiyuk, Kittle, Jennings all starters out, and McCaffrey's playing banged up. SoCal might have a point. Watch Jones be this years Darnold.

You can almost bank on him getting injured if he's all they got and they ride him hard...ocram23 wrote: ↑September 11th, 2025, 8:39 pmand CMC's usage is already thru the roof after game 1Rampager66 wrote: ↑September 11th, 2025, 6:43 pm Purdy, Aiyuk, Kittle, Jennings all starters out, and McCaffrey's playing banged up. Purdy sucks anyway. Watch him next year when a whole new group of veterans leaves again.

Re: Purdy out two to five weeks.
I loved the Purdy signing. He's average at best IMO. If they cut him before the 2028 season they'll take a massive CAP hit. When I look at the Whinners and all their issues I see a .500 team...
Judge our new coach in his third year. After all our last coach was to game strategy what Yoko Ono was to the Beatles...

What's the scoop in North CA? I think Mac Jones makes me more nervous than Purdy. He probably has a better overall skillset but maybe worse decision making?

Re: Purdy out two to five weeks.
NorCal listens to the homer station in SF and I'm in Asia right now so I don't know all that much. I liked Jones coming out of college but he was overdrafted like most QB's. Jones could parlay a 1-year stint in SF to a bigger contract with somebody else but he doesn't have the weapons Darnold did. Most people forget Darnold hardly played in SF anyway. So my scoop is I hope Mac Jones looks like a journeyman JAG and they lose to NO.
And I hope your Falcons drop to 0-2 and start their season long skid!

Haha. What the heck are you doing in Asia?49RH8R wrote: ↑September 13th, 2025, 7:49 amNorCal listens to the homer station in SF and I'm in Asia right now so I don't know all that much. I don’t think the Falcons can’t beat the Vikings. (I hate that because I know a few Vikings fans that act like 49er fans.) I win if the Falcons win, and I win if the Falcons lose, so perfect situation for me.

Re: Purdy out two to five weeks.
I have an old college buddy from LA who moved to Atlanta. He was a Rams fan but switched to the Falcons so he and his son could go to games together and root for the Falcons. Also, the Rams were a shit team in St. Louis so he felt it was a good time to jump ship. I give him shit because the Rams moved back to LA and they won the SBBulldawg wrote: ↑September 13th, 2025, 12:01 pmHaha. I'm in Asia right now because I'm a world traveler. I'll go through Europe on the way home so I'm watching games on delay.

Re: Purdy out two to five weeks.
That sounds cool. Would love to hear some stories some time about your favorite places to visit and why. So far mine has been Capetown, South Africa. Romania was an interesting place, while my favorite place to golf is Ireland over Scotland. I have never been to Asia so wouldn’t know where to start.49RH8R wrote: ↑September 14th, 2025, 6:37 amI have an old college buddy from LA who moved to Atlanta. Changing team allegiance so you can watch games with your son is a pretty good excuse. I never became a serious Falcons fan because when I was younger they absolutely stunk for years. I grew up in South Ga so never went to pro games growing up. I started going to UGA games when Herschel Walker was a freshman. (He played high school football with my cousins.)
