Spoken like a true vet vs a true rookie... we have all been here in life 😆 (either we were there rookie or the vet).

Fergs is going to be something special for us. He is a good solid TE and I expect him to be our #1 TE by next season.

Glad to see him getting his snaps. He's our TE1. Gonna be great. Sean has read our complaints..and addressed.

He certainly looks like a weapon the Rams haven't had. On the other hand, the fact that he's still learning the playbook rather than the nuances of his craft at this point indicates that he isn't the sharpest tool in the shed. But once he totally gets it, he will be fun to watch.

It's frustrating but i'm glad we have Stafford taking charge. Hopefully Ferguson will be ready to be our #1 by next year. He should be in his prime by the time we draft a rookie QB and that will help.

Matthew Stafford praises Terrance Ferguson's development after slow start
Ferguson is starting to become a playmaker at tight end for the Rams

Terrance Ferguson was hardly a factor to start the year. He was a healthy scratch twice and played just eight total snaps in the first five weeks, but he’s started to carve out a role for himself within the Los Angeles Rams’ offense.

With Sean McVay deploying more 13 personnel packages with three tight ends, he’s played 75 total snaps in the last three games. The result? Three catches for 85 yards and a touchdown in the last two games alone.

Matthew Stafford has seen Ferguson work hard to get more involved and he applauded the rookie tight end Wednesday for his development.

“I think he's continuing to develop,” Stafford said. “You have to give him a lot of credit. He's put a lot of work in. He's a guy that has a natural skillset. He's a really talented player. He's done a nice job the last couple weeks of, hey, here's your role this week and can you go out there and master that and make the plays when you get the chances and go out there and compete, have fun and do all the things that we want you to do. He's done a great job of that. I think he has three other guys in that room and a coach that he can really lean on to show him how it's done. He's absorbed that information and feedback and done a great job of translating that onto the grass.
