Despite what the numbers says, Rams D isn't good. Hopefully that changes, but they haven't been good in awhile.
^ this.

IMO, it’s been exposed and teams are attacking those parts. So, let’s see how we deal w Falcons tomorrow ngt. Remember, Morris knows how McVay and Shula thinks. To me, Atlanta is a much bigger test than some may realize.

To me, it’s a must win tomorrow ngt. Mainly to boost morale going into playoffs… teams that are healthy and on fire heading into playoffs usually win out… right now we’re banged up and lost that fire. Tomorrow ngt, it’s up to us to turn it around.
HR died on the defense is good hill. Oblivious to eye test.

Bears look horrible. Niners are destroying them. Outside of the pick six bears can't do shit on offense and defense

Just say “yeah I didn’t realize the 49ers would have nothing to play for and thus it’d make sense to rest their guys”.

That’s all. Just use common sense.
No. It’s not common sense when you were proven wrong. They have nothing to play for isn’t correct. If they were locked into 6th seed you’d be correct. So if Rams lose tomorrow? Should they sit all their guys too week 18?
If I was McVay, I’m absolutely sitting my guys in week 18 because IMO the difference between the 5 and 6 isn’t worth not getting my guys healthy.

You gotta go thru Philly at some point most likely anyway whether it’s the 1st round or the Conf Finals.

You could even argue that the 6 is preferable bc if you win the first game, the next round game is vs a team that also had to play a playoff game the prior week. The 4/5 game winner is going to play a fully rested #1 that didn’t play the prior week.

It was not. Bears defender was just an idiot and the niners got really lucky there.

I’d rather play

At Philly (1st rd)
At Chicago (who would have played the prior week vs GB)
At Seattle/SF

Than:

At Carolina
At Seattle/SF (Fully rested)
At Philly/Chicago

You’re underestimating how hard it is to play a #1 seed that had a bye week the prior week.

The key should be trying to get to the Super Bowl which is more than whatever the easiest 1st game is

Rams prob lose round 1 against Philly. Or we just going to pretend Philly is easier than Tampa Bay/Carolina? Before you accomplsih step 2, need to get past step 1. But you’ve been on a roll this week. Plus your paths are assuming certain results. Let me guess. You can predict the future.

If you can’t beat Philly in the 1st round then you aren’t good enough to make the Super Bowl anyway. That’s the way I look at it.

And if you are the 6, there’s at least a chance you are playing a home game vs the Packers in the 2nd round. Or worst case at Chicago.

Seattle in Seattle, or SF in SF fully rested would be a way harder 2nd game.

Whats crazier… Niners have given up 35 points in just over 3 qtrs or Bears have scored 35 points in just over 3 qtrs…

What an insane game. I give the Bears credit with the hook and ladder.

Rams eliminated from NFC West. If it were me I’m resting my guys. I’d rather have the 6 anyway

Oh well....first seed is gone now. At least now I know the rams defense is not the only one that sucks in the nfc. Both defenses today looked horrible.

This makes no sense. You'd rather play the eagles or bears vs the bucs or panthers???

Im sorry i dont get those of you that have no problem playing Philly over the bucs or Panthers in wild card game. You want the easiest path period. The eagles are scary talented especially on defense.

The Seahawks have a much better defense than the Bears, they're unlikely to let Kyle Shanahan make totally inept fools of their defenders.

If the Rams could play the Bears in fairly decent weather on the road, they should be able to score 50+ points on them, however that's a massive 'if'...
