Got to catch the ball if you want to make the team.

That’s a sure way to either get cut or maybe make the PS.

Tutu speed would have been there all day long imo

He also had a drop and didn't fight for the ball on the interception Bennett tossed. Tomorrow's game is critical for him to show he can play the physical part of the NFL game.

He is a rookie playing in his first NFL game. I doubt seriously if it was a lack of effort. Appears to be a space filler for whatever blog/site that is……………

All we have heard is positives about this kid in camp. One play…………

Mumpfield dropped two perfect passes, caught one on a fluke, and the INT was partially his fault as he did not fight hard enough (a la Torry Holt in the playoffs vs Carolina Panthers and Steve Smith).

NorCal-I just watched your post and forgot about that play. There was no real effort. I say cut him if he does not show us more in the next two games.

So a rookie playing in his first game who is a long shot to make the team is going to go out there and not put his best foot forward? Ok………

He dropped 2 passes. Sure in his situation he needs to catch them but that has us ignoring what has been said about him the entire camp?

Back to effort? You don’t think at worse he is trying to be picked up by another team?

He will probably be a ram cut casualty with the Rams wanting him on the PS. My bet is the Rams are not worked up about his first game like some of you are………………

I never heard whose fault it was. To me it felt like it was Mumpfield for running the route wrong but that's jmo. The question is could have Stetson thrown it more towards the route Mumpfield was running I have no idea.

Speed has nothing to do with it. He beat the DB and safety by a yard plus. He ran the route wrong I think.

I don't know about this click bait but cutting Mumfield is an interesting idea I never considered. What if they think X-man and Stoops or Covey fit better as WR5 and WR6 and add more ST versatility? Stoops is not a rookie anymore and Covey has played a lot in this league. Mumfield might get poached by another team but at the end of the day he's a 7th round rookie that every team passed on all draft. We are a really deep playoff team and if he's not worthy of the 53 we gotta cut him. I do agree with others that he had a good camp so I think this whole topic is bogus.

He’s had a good camp but performance on the field is what matters.
I put that clip up on X. It’s not click bait. Just wanted some opinions.
